Team Liquid had a rocky start for DPC Summer Tour. They lost their debut series against Entity. However, despite facing Team Secret in their next series, Liquid put their best foot forward and came out on top. The team managed to win against D2Hustlers, the series that followed Team Secret.

Their series against Gaimin Gladiators was the most anticipated series for the DPC WEU Summer Tour. Both teams had met in multiple grand finals, which always saw Gaimin Gladiators come out on top. At the regional playoffs, it always was a close series, with Liquid coming out on top. However, this time, Liquid made a statement by taking a clean 2-0 victory against their resilient rivals.

Game 1

Team Liquid got off to a fantastic start in game 1. Drafting brilliantly, they played aggressively during the laning stage, securing multiple kills across the map. Despite their disadvantage, Gaimin Gladiators didn’t hesitate and brought fights with numbers to Liquid to get back into the game at the start of the mid-game. Understanding the situation, Team Liquid dodges the snowball attempt from Gaimin Gladiators and splits the fights.

At first, Gaimin Gladiators were dominant, but they failed to secure objectives. Team Liquid secured crucial items needed to win the team fights and brought the fights to Gaimin Gladiators, eventually coming out on top.

Unlike Gaimin, Liquid secured the objectives, slowly fending off Gaimin Gladiators across from the map. At 40 minutes, Gaimin Gladiators conceded from game 1.

Game 2

Unlike game 1, game 2 was a complete stomp by Team Liquid.  Liquid relentlessly pressured the safelane hard carry of Gaimin, shutting him off during the laning stage. The relentless aggression at bot lane from Liquid gave their safelane Bloodseeker enough buffs to win the laning stage.

Liquid continued their aggressive plays in the midgame, snowballing their advantage and pressuring Gaimin Gladiators across the map. Not giving a chance for a breather,  Liquid took objectives from Gaimin Gladiators. Liquid wasted no time and went straight for the gg push, ending the game at 31 minutes. Team Liquid is currently in second place in WEU groups, with three wins and one loss. With a score of two wins and one loss, Gaimin Gladiators are in third place behind Team Liquid.
