Team Falcons win the Esports World Cup 2024 Warzone title

The first event of the Esports World Cup 2024 concluded yesterday with Team Falcons clinching the Call of Duty: Warzone title gaining 1000 points for Club Championship.

The event started with 21 teams playing the solo seeding stage and concluding with fourteen teams playing the final round. Let’s see how the tournament went down.

Esports World Cup 2024 Warzone: Solo Seeding Stage Recap

The first day of Esports World Cup 2024 featured the Solo Seeding Stage. The three groups of solos played six games.

Brazilian New Icons’ Dreyk dominated the first group and was named MVP for the games. Singapore Syndicate’s Dongy dominated group 2 followed by SvGe’s OEKIY winning the MVP for the final group.

At the end of the Solo Seeding stage, Twisted Minds came out on top followed by Guild Esports, SvGe Esports, Cloud9, Team Vitality and more.

Esports World Cup 2024 Warzone: Group Stage Recap

The second and third day of the Esports World Cup featured the Group Stage.

In the Group A vs Group B games, Team Falcons dominated their competition winning a total of 100.8 points. They also dominated the Group B vs Group C team resurgence games to secure the first place with a total of 255 points.

SvGe Esports consistent performance secured them second place with 154.8 points.

Natus Vincere topped the Group A vs Group C points table helping them secure a solid 3rd place in the final standings.

Only fourteen teams made it out of the group stage they are as follows:

Call of Duty Warzone: Finals Recap

In the finals, Team Falcons continued their domination securing an early lead from the start in the points table.

Despite the heavy competition from Twisted Minds who dominated the first game and Fnatic that dominated the fourth game, Team Falcons maintained their lead with consistent performance.

They eventually won the competition with 227.9 points over Fnatic’s 208.2 and Twisted Mind’s 179.3 securing the first ever title win at Esports World Cup.

Shifty was named the MVP of the finals securing a $50K prize.

With the win, Team Falcons secured 1000 Club points, leading the race in the Club Championship.
