With day 2 of the RLCS Fall Major coming to a close, it’s time to sum up everything that we’ve seen so far. And we’ve seen a lot! Today’s matches were filled with a lot of wipeouts. In fact, it really wasn’t very close in a lot of ways.

It’s not clear who will be eliminated from the first part of the tournament yet. However, 5 teams have already qualified for the playoffs. The next stage will begin tomorrow as we get closer and closer to Sunday’s grand finals!

Qualified teams - who has 9-1 overall?

Five of the 8 teams that will make it to the playoff stage have already qualified! This comes after a day of largely uncontested games, we’re sorry to say. There has been no trouble at all for Karmine Corp, who are currently sitting with a 9-1 score.

It may come as a surprise that it was Spacestation Gaming who managed to take a game off them. Not that they’re not incredible players, but they certainly don’t have the same reputation as Karmine!

After a bit of a rocky road to Rotterdam, Gen.G Mobil1 Gaming have managed to land themselves in the later stage of the tournament too. After playing in 4 rounds, they have only lost one full series to Oxygen Esports with a disappointing 3-0 defeat. From there, though, they came back fighting and even managed to take a 3-0 victory for themselves against FaZe Clan.

Moist Esports - previous Major winners start to struggle

While things started out really well on day 1 of the RLCS Fall Major for Moist Esports, the same cannot be said going into day 2. These former Major winners have played some of the best teams in the tournament. Their current scores stand as:

  • FaZe Clan: 3-1
  • The Club: 3-2
  • Karmine Corp: 0-3
  • Team Secret: 1-3.

While this might not be the result they wanted, they’re still just in the top 8. Of course, only 8 teams will be moving onto the playoffs so Moist will be bringing their A game tomorrow.

What next? - A lot more to come from the RLCS Fall Major

Tomorrow is the last day of the group stage. Some teams who have already qualified will get a well deserved rest. But for others who haven’t yet confirmed their place, there is still another opportunity, all is not lost! The fifth round of the group stage will be getting started tomorrow afternoon at 4pm CET so if you’re looking to tune in and cheer on your top teams, you can check out the official Twitch streams.
