Riot Games Announces New Creator Partner Programs for LoL, VALORANT, and TFT

Riot Games Announces New Creator Partner Programs for LoL, VALORANT, and TFT

1 May, 2026, 20:49

Riot Games is bringing open applications for its Partner Programs, and this time, the doors are opening wider than ever. After years away from public enrollment, creators across League of Legends, VALORANT, and Teamfight Tactics will finally get their shot starting in August 2026.

A Long Time Coming

It all started back in 2018 with the League Partner Program (LPP), which was Riot's first real attempt at building a structured creator ecosystem.

The program ran for a while, but Riot eventually paused new applications as the company grew beyond a single title and started rethinking what a modern partner program should look like. A closed beta followed, features were rebuilt from the ground up, and now the whole thing is ready for prime time.

This is not just a patch to an old system. Riot has put together something that works across multiple games at once, with dedicated support structures and a new Creator Hub giving partners the tools they actually need.

Who Gets to Apply and When

The rollout happens across three months, game by game:

  • VALORANT goes first, with applications open from August 3 to August 28.
  • League of Legends follows from September 1 through September 30
  • Teamfight Tactics closes out the wave from October 1 to October 30.

Each window stays open for roughly a month, so missing one deadline does not mean missing every chance.

One thing Riot was clear about: a massive audience is not a requirement. The programs are designed for established creators and up-and-coming ones alike.

What matters is genuine passion for the game, a positive impact on the community, and an engaged audience, whatever size that might be.

What Partners Actually Get

Getting accepted opens up a solid set of perks. Approved partners unlock champions, agents, or tacticians depending on their game, get giveaway codes to share with their communities, and receive complimentary battle passes. There is also dedicated Player Support for creator-specific issues, which anyone who has dealt with a broken in-game drop knows is genuinely useful.

Beyond that, access to the new Creator Hub brings resources, tools, and unique opportunities like drop programs, marketing campaigns, and early access to upcoming content. It is the kind of infrastructure that makes content creation feel supported rather than like a solo grind.

Not Your Last Chance

Riot made it clear that these initial windows will not be the only opportunity. Future application periods are planned, though exact dates have not been confirmed yet. If you do not make it in during the first wave, the program is built to grow, and more doors will open as the partner ecosystem scales up.

The full details and requirements are already available on Riot's official announcement. The Creator Hub is the place to bookmark for updates as each application period approaches.
