After weeks of intense competition and dramatic upsets, VALORANT Masters Toronto concluded with one final shock: Paper Rex defied expectations and took down Fnatic 3-1 in the Grand Finals, capturing their long-awaited first international trophy.

A Composed and Clinical PRX

Paper Rex entered the Grand Final with an expected map veto strategy, removing their usual bans: Haven and Ascent.

Starting on Sunset, PRX’s star and IGL f0rsaken led with confidence and clutch play, earning a 13-10 victory. Fnatic hit back on Icebox, edging out a 17-15 overtime win thanks to a heroic performance from rookie kaajak.

But from there, PRX took control. Pearl saw f0rsaken and d4v41 combine for a dominant showing in a 13-10 win.

On Lotus, despite Fnatic reaching match point, f0rsaken forced overtime with an unbelievable clutch, and Paper Rex finally closed out the map and series at 14-12, claiming their first international title in the process.

Breaking the Curse

With this victory, Paper Rex have finally silenced the doubters. After painful second-place finishes at Masters Copenhagen 2022 and Champions 2023, they’ve climbed the mountain at last. The win also marks a historic moment for the Pacific region, its third straight Masters title since Masters Shanghai 2024.

f0rsaken was named MVP of Masters Toronto, praised for both his mechanical prowess and his leadership as he took over in-game calling responsibilities during the tournament. His composure under pressure and confidence in key rounds were instrumental to PRX’s title run.

The Pacific Ascendancy

Beyond Paper Rex’s personal redemption, the result underscores the growing power of the Pacific region. Once underestimated on the international stage, Pacific now holds both Masters trophies in 2025, sending a clear message ahead of Champions later this year.

Paper Rex’s Toronto win is more than just a title; it’s the culmination of years of heartbreak, evolution, and relentless belief in their fearless playstyle. With the curse broken and momentum on their side, PRX now set their sights on an even greater legacy as Champions approaches.

Is VALORANT Crossplay? PC, PS5, Xbox & Mobile Explained (2026)

VALORANT does not offer crossplay between PC and console. This means that PC players can only match and play against other PC players, and console players (PS5 and Xbox) players can only match and play against other console players. While there is no crossplay in VALORANT, the game does support cross progression, which means that your account, skins, and any other form of progress carry from one platform to the other (from PC to console, and vice versa).
