Fnatic has are seemingly opting to re-sign top laner Óscar "Oscarinin" Muñoz Jiménez after the Spanish player's continuous upwards trend.

The report, which comes from Sheep Esports' Marian "Eros" Stoica, indicates that the historic European organization will be signing Oscarinin for another two years. As such, it is clear that Fnatic want to make the top laner a core part of the team's roster for the future.

A fruitful investment

Oscarinin has been a part of the Fnatic organization since the beginning of 2022 after the team chose to move on from big names in the league such as Adam "Adam" Maanane or Martin "Wunder" Hansen.

Starting off by competing in the LVP Superliga with Fnatic TQ, Fnatic's tier-2 team, Oscarinin took little more than a year to impress enough to earn a promotion to the main Fnatic roster in the LEC.

Despite a rough start to his LEC journey back in the early 2023, Oscarinin's level of play has been consistently rising, to the point of becoming one of the most solid pieces on the current Fnatic roster.

Now, Fnatic is opting to reward Oscarinin's improvement by making him a key piece of their plans as the team looks towards the future.

A timely boost

With Oscarinin guarding the top lane, Fnatic has made it to the finals of last three LEC tournaments in a row. With the team getting ever so close to putting an end to G2's hegemony in Europe, Fnatic will need to make sure they retain their strongest players in order to carry out the final push.

In the meantime, however, Fnatic is still competing for a spot in the Quarterfinals at Worlds 2024. With Fnatic re-signing Oscarinin, perhaps the news might turn out to be a welcome encouragement for Oscarinin to find a new level at Worlds and ensure his team lives to fight another day.
