Post a moderately successful season, which saw Oh My God getting their highest split placement in recent times, some of the best players for the squad have decided to leave the roster.

Today, on the organization's Weibo page, they announced the departure of Lin "Creme" Jian, Deng "shanji" Zijian, Mao "AKi" An, and Kexue "Jerry" Zhuo, along with Coach Zhou "Despa1r" Lipeng.

The departure of some of their best players who helped them reach newer heights takes a toll on the team. To fill the gap left by the members, OMG started the announcement by adding a Head Coach.

Zhou "NoName" Qilin, the former FPX coach, will take the reins as the new Head Coach for the team.

The team has decided to promote Lei "Starry" Ming from Team 2 (Oh my dream). He will share his time as the team's ADC with Dai "Able" Zhichun, who has extended his contract with the organization.

AKi's position will be filled by Fang "Xiaofang" Zheyu, who previously played for the Top Esports Challenger squad. It will be Xiaofang's first LPL year with the team.

Rare Atom's top laner, Dai "Cube" Yi will fill in for Shanji. Former Ninjas in Pyjamas midlaner Xiang "Angel" Tao will lead the squad and take over Creme's role. Angel's veteran presence will help the team of newcomers and youngster find their footing.

Guo "ppgod" Peng will continue as the team's support for the upcoming split.

With all the pieces in place, the 2023 LPL Oh My God squad is as follows:

OMG will try to replicate their success with their previous young roster again. With Angel's experience guiding the youngsters, it'd be interesting to see how the squad performs.
