Amer “Miracle-” Al Bakawi is a household name in the Dota 2 community. His plays on certain heroes like Invoker, Morphling and Anti-Mage turned doubters into fans and fans speechless. It has also haunted a lot of players to this day. He was considered one of the “gods” of the midlane and the first player to reach 9K MMR, Miracle- was considered the best player ever to grace the game back in his prime days.

Miracle- has his name immortalised on the coveted Aegis of Champion in 2017, along with the members of Team Liquid. However, as time ticks away, the once-considered “god” showed signs of mortality.

Rookie to “Godhood”

Miracle- started to gain a reputation in Europe as a PUB Star after being the only player to reach 8K MMR besides w33. After Johan “N0tail” Sundstein recruited Miracle- for his new team, the young prodigy put on a marvellous performance during OG’s underdog run at the Frankfurt Major showcasing his versatile hero pool.

His performance on  Shadow Fiend became so iconic and unbeatable that he quickly became a fan favourite. Teams began to “respect ban” it in the Major, but it wasn’t enough, as OG were crowned champions at the Frankfurt Major.

At the end of 2016, he joined a revamp of Team Liquid led by Kuro “KuroKy” Salehi Takhasomi. The team quickly became a favourite. In 2017, Team Liquid became The International 2017 Champions. Miracle- who only started playing Dota 2 professionally a year prior got his name forever immortalised in the coveted Aegis Of Champions.

He reached The International grand finals again in 2019. However, OG, his former team, defeated them this time. After 2019, the players leave Team Liquid to form a new team known as Team Nigma. Team Nigma later merge with Galaxy Racer to become Nigma Galaxy.

The Break

Team Nigma had a strong start during their debut year. However, the years were not kind to the team. The team got relegated to Division II in DPC 2021-2022 Summer Tour. Syed “Sumail” Hassan helped the team get promoted back to Division I for the 2022-2023 DPC Winter Tour.  However, the team failed to qualify for The International two years in a row. At the start of the 2022-2023 DPC season, Miracle- decided to take a break from competitive play siding his health issues. After missing from Dota 2 scene for quite some time, Miracle-’s smurf account showed activity in recent days. Currently, Miracle- is sitting on a 67% win rate on his smurf account.
