BC.Game Esports has announced the addition of Danish Counter-Strike legend Emil "Magisk" Reif as its new in‑game leader. The former Astralis star and four-time Major winner will relieve analyst-turned-emergency-IGL Robin "ScrunK" Röpke, who had been fulfilling the role since April of this year.

Magisk's acquisition appears to be part of a larger roster reconstruction process, which began with the organization benching the former SAW trio of MUTiRiS, krazy, and aragornN. This was followed by the permanent signing of Senzu, who was previously with BC.Game on loan from The MongolZ.

BC.Game Signs Magisk as IGL Amid Roster Overhaul

It would be fair to say that BC.Game is aiming to build a roster capable of qualifying for a Major and eventually becoming contenders. While the team did have one of Counter‑Strike's all‑time greats, s1mple, and an established, proven player like electroNic, its performance in 2026 has been subpar, warranting a roster shuffle.

With the latest acquisition of Magisk, the BC.Game roster is now made up of:

Experienced players, especially in‑game leaders, are crucial to reaching the apex of Counter‑Strike esports, as was made evident at the recent IEM Cologne Major, where another Danish veteran, karrigan, led Team Falcons to a historic title win within just two months of joining the team.

Similarly, Magisk is a player who can add significant value to BC.Game. He was a core part of the legendary Astralis roster, with whom he won three Majors during his nearly four‑year stint. Since then, Magisk has played for notable teams like Vitality and Falcons, earning silverware with both.

While IGLing isn't something Magisk is widely known for, he does have a fair amount of experience, having briefly taken over the reins from gla1ve during his time at Astralis. Regardless, Magisk has proven himself with various top teams and has seen success at the highest level; these qualities can add value to BC.Game as they rebuild their roster.

The team still has one spot left. While speculation earlier pointed toward young Finnish talent Jimpphat, currently on the bench for MOUZ, BC.Game's CEO was quick to shut down those rumors. More details should emerge soon, so stay tuned.
