LOUD Becomes Youngest Team Ever to Reach VALORANT Champions Grand Final
LOUD has become the youngest team ever to reach a VALORANT Champions Grand Final. Its five starters have an average age of 20 years, five months and seven days, breaking the record set by Gambit Esports at Champions 2021.
The record came after LOUD's 2-1 victory over Team Vitality, which secured the Brazilian team a place in the VALORANT Champions 2026 Grand Final in Shanghai. LOUD is returning to the final four years after winning its first world title in 2022.
Who Makes Up LOUD's Record-Breaking Roster?
The two youngest players on the roster are both 18: Chilean captain Roberto "erde" Lobos and Brazilian Enzo "tkzin" Zimiani. Lucca "lukxo" Travaioli is 19, while Colombian Sebastián "Darker" Castro Cicuamia is 21. The oldest player is Portuguese David "DaviH" Cruz, at 23.
The previous record belonged to Gambit Esports, whose roster averaged 20 years and seven months when it reached the Champions 2021 Grand Final. The Russian team finished as runner-up that year after losing 3-2 to Acend.
LOUD Aims for Second VALORANT World Championship
Beyond the age record, this new LOUD roster has a chance to repeat the achievement of the organization's 2022 championship team, which defeated OpTic Gaming 3-1 in the Grand Final in Istanbul.
The Champions 2026 Grand Final takes place on **Sunday, October 18, at 2 AM ET / 7 AM BST / 8 AM CEST** (11 PM PT on Saturday, October 17), at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Shanghai. LOUD will face the winner of the lower bracket final between Team Vitality and 100 Thieves in a best-of-five series.
