The Indian Organisation Global Esports, the youngest organization to be part of the Valorant Partnership Program, revealed their 7-man roster for the VCT'23 season. The roster consists of Ayrin, t3xture, Bazzi, Wronski, Rossi, LightningFast, and Monyet. Hellranger, skillZ, and Kappa will also be a part of the roster moving to Seoul.

The Global Esports Legacy

The organization was one of the pioneers of Valorant in the South Asia region and was the first to sign a full-fledged Valorant Roster which has since been unchanged.

Global Esports Valorant

The roster consisting HellRanger, skillZ, Kappa, Rossi, and LightningFast were the top dogs in South Asian Valorant. They had a massive following, with SkRossi, the team's Jett/Chamber, being the face of South Asian Valorant for the west.

With the fan following, the team also displayed results and became the first South Asian team to play in an International event when the team qualified for VCT APAC LCQ 2021.

While the team failed to make a deep run in the event, they managed to upset Dam won gaming, but a loss to Paper Rex and F4Q eliminated them from the competition.

With the increased opportunities, the team managed to qualify for International VCT events in 2022 but failed to leave a mark on the scene. And without adequate circuit points, failed to qualify for the VCT APAC LCQ 2022.

The team was still a force to be reckoned with locally, but they always fell short on the international stage. With Riot announcing Valorant Partnership Program and much to the region's delight, they became the youngest organization to be selected by Riot.

Plans for VCT'23 and the new roster

With the partnership announced, Global Esports started making their moves and planning for the rebuilding of the upcoming VCT'23 season. The team announced its plan to sign a 10-man roster for the upcoming season and started by making the first confirmed international transfer with XSET's ex-secondary IGL Ayrin.

Soon reports of other players rolled around, and the team reportedly closed the deal on Wronski, an ex-Order player and the only Australian player in the VCT'23 League.

Today, Global Esports finally announced the rest of the international roster consisting of signing t3xture, Bazzi, Rossi, LightningFast, and Monyet. The organization also announced that HellRanger, skillZ, and Kappa would be part of the team moving to Seoul.

While the roster's firepower seems insane, It is important to note that t3xture, Bazzi, Rossi, Monyet, and Wronski all play similar kinds of roles and have been playing these roles for the longest time. In contrast, only Ayrin (Controller) and LightningFast (Flex) seem to be confirmed role players.

Furthermore, for players who have not played many other agents internationally, it'd surely be challenging for them to adjust to the new roles assigned to them. That said, Global Esports's Founder, Dr. Rushindra Sinha, did address the issues and assured the Global Esports Fans that they have a plan in mind and are doing things according to it.

With the players announced, The VCT'23 Global Esports roster will be as follows:

  • Ganesh "SkRossi" Gangadhar
  • Bhavin "HellRanger" Kotwani
  • Akshay "KappA" Sinkar
  • Jayanth "skillZ" Ramesh
  • Abhirup "Lightningfast" Choudhary
  • Jordon "Ayrin" He
  • Kim "t3xture" Na-ra
  • Park "Bazzi" Jun-ki
  • Michael "Wronski" Wronski
  • Cahya "Monyet" Nugraha
  • Pranav "Kohliii" Kohli
  • Vatsal "Nghtmre2k" Uniyal (Manager)
  • Hong "Eraser" Chong-Pyo (Head Coach)
