Support Yoon “Jun” Se-jun is set to join Fnatic in 2024 after reaching a verbal agreement with the organization. Should the deal finalize, “Jun” will shift over from the LCK to compete in the LEC. He will be taking over from former Fnatic support Adrian “ Trymbi” Trybus.

According to Brieuc “LEC Wooloo” Seeger, Fnatic had been considering multiple different Supports before finally landing on “Jun”. The latter’s confirmation as the new support will reduce the remaining LEC Support slots down to only 3, that being: SK Gaming, KOI, and Team Vitality.

Tough First Year

Despite competing well in the LCK Challengers League - cited as one of the best-performing Supports in the league - he was still unable to translate that success into the LCK. Under the Kwangdong Freecs banner, “Jun” failed to qualify for Worlds, finishing 7th and 10th in the Spring and Summer splits respectively.

2023 was also Jun’s debut year in the LCK, making this move a double tragedy. However, his move is good news for the LEC, who just suffered embarrassment at Worlds 2023. Every LEC representative was wiped out before the Quarterfinals, leaving NRG as the Western team to have made it the furthest.

Fnatic’s Arc Back to Triumph

After a Winter Split that was the lowest point of the historic organization’s history, Fnatic began a path of rebuilding. It started slow, with internal fixes that saw an improvement in Spring.

Following that, Fnatic rebuilt their bot lane with a new Support and AD Carry duo. Moreover, Fnatic also removed veteran top laner Martin “Wunder” Nordahl Hansen, in favor of upcomer rookie Óscar “Oscarinin” Muñoz Jiménez. By finals, they placed 2nd in the region. At Worlds, they fell just shy of the Quarterfinals, falling to Weibo Gaming.

Now, in the off-season, Fnatic have started attempting to shore up their weak link, namely the bot side. With this pick, things are beginning to look up again for Fnatic. It is also unknown if Fnatic will look to change any of the other players at this time.

Fnatic 2024 LEC Starting Lineup

  • Top Lane: Óscar “Oscarinin” Muñoz Jiménez
  • Jungle: Iván “Razork” Martín Díaz
  • Mid Lane: Marek “Humanoid” Brázda
  • AD Carry: Oh “Noah” Hyeon-taek
  • Support: Yoon “Jun” Se-jun
