Esports World Cup Foundation Unveils 'Road to EWC' Program

For the 2026 Esports World Cup, the Esports World Cup Federation (EWCF) has launched the Road to EWC, a global qualifying circuit featuring over 230 tournaments. It connects publisher leagues, international events, and grassroots qualifiers into one cohesive season-long journey to Riyadh.

With the 2026 Road to EWC program, the EWCF aims to build on the previous year's success, which qualified over 2,500 players from more than 100 countries and 200 clubs. That massive scale created powerful narratives, such as the rise of 15-year-old Free Fire prodigy, Rasyah “Rasyid” Rasyid, who won a gold medal and the Finals MVP award at EWC 2025.

The Esports World Cup 2026 is scheduled to be held from July 6 to August 23 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. For now, here’s more on its qualification program: Road to EWC.

Road to EWC 2026 Tournaments and Events

The Road to EWC program's greatest strength is its seamless integration into the existing global esports ecosystem. Instead of creating a separate circuit, it partners with and elevates popular tournaments across a variety of games, including:

  • Apex Legends Global Series
  • Capcom Cup
  • Chess.com Global Championship
  • Combo Breaker
  • CROSSFIRE Pro League
  • EA Sports FC Pro
  • EVO
  • Free Fire World Series
  • Fortnite Reload Elite Series
  • King Pro League (Honor of Kings)
  • Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League
  • Mobile Legends: Bang Bang MWI 2026
  • Overwatch Champions Series
  • PUBG Global Series
  • PUBG MOBILE Global Open
  • Rocket League Championship Series
  • SNK World Championship (Fatal Fury)
  • TEKKEN World Tour Finals

Alongside this, Road to EWC will include the official esports circuits of:

  • Call of Duty
  • League of Legends
  • Fortnite
  • Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege
  • Trackmania
  • VALORANT

To create accessible pathways for grassroots competitors, open online qualifiers and community competitions will run for Call of Duty: Warzone, Dota 2, Teamfight Tactics, and Chess. These events offer a direct route for aspiring players to earn a spot alongside the elite from official circuits.
