Team Liquid has announced the addition of Justin “jks” Savage and Roland “ultimate” Tomkowiak to the Counter-Strike roster.

The announcement closely follows that of the new coach, Torbjorn “mithR” Nyborg, completing Team Liquid’s roster for the upcoming competitive season.

The roster shake-up follows a tumultuous and disappointing first half of 2024. Despite bringing in big names like cadiaN and Twistzz, the team fell flat, not achieving any significant results.

The team’s best placement at an international event came at IEM Chengdu 2024, where they finished 5th-6th. Furthermore, the roster missed out on the Esports World Cup 2024, adding fuel to the fire.

The results definitely called for a roster shake-up, and the management answered. During the off-season, we saw the departure of cadiaN, zews, and skullz. With the core of NAF, Twistzz, and YEKINDAR intact, the team has brought in new faces.

To fill the AWPer role, the team has called upon Ultimate. The 20-year-old Polish up-and-comer started his career in 2020. He recently played for Illuminar Gaming, helping them secure a 2nd place finish at CCT Season 2 European Season #5.

Jks joins the team as the final piece of the puzzle. He has been inactive since his departure from G2 Esports, where he helped the team secure the last CS:GO IEM Cologne title.

The addition of arguably the best Counter-Strike player from Australia, jks, brings veterancy without compromising on firepower. Ultimate will be the new young blood for the team, hopefully bringing in explosiveness with the big green.

With the new additions, the Team Liquid Counter-Strike roster is as follows:

The new face of Team Liquid will debut at BLAST Premier: Fall Groups 2024, starting July 26.

CS2 Major Revenue Share Changes Are Pushing Organizations Away from Counter-Strike

Valve’s new CS2 Major revenue share ties sticker income to VRS and final placement, removing capsule‑style payouts and concentrating money among top finishers. The result: higher volatility for clubs that relied on sticker cheques, early roster cuts like Gaimin Gladiators, and a narrower field of sustainable CS2 organizations unless the payout model changes.
