Valve has surprised the Counter-Strike 2 community with the Spring Forward update, released on March 31st. Packed with new skins, weapon collections, and a long-overdue refresh to the in-game Armory, this update is far from an April Fool’s joke.

Let’s take a look at the new skins and collections added to CS2.

Fever Case: AWP Printstream and Shattered Web Knives

For those looking to score premium skins, the Fever Case is the biggest addition to the Armory. This new case features 17 weapon finishes designed by community creators, with the AWP Printstream leading the pack as one of the most sought-after skins.

Train 2025 Collection: A Tribute to a Classic Map

Valve has also replaced the original Train Collection with the Train 2025 Collection, a skin set themed around the recently returned Train map. This collection includes several skins with an industrial and metallic aesthetic, staying true to Train’s railway theme.

Some key skins from this collection include:

Limited Edition XM1014 Solitude

For those interested in exclusive items, the update also includes a new limited-time weapon skin, the XM1014 Solitude. This shotgun skin features a unique mountainous pattern with multiple variations. Players can purchase it directly from the Armory for 15 credits, but it will only be available until July 13th, 2025.

New Drop Collections: Ascent, Boreal, and Radiant

A major highlight of the update is the introduction of three new weapon collections: Ascent, Boreal, and Radiant. These collections have been added to the CS2 weekly care package drop list, meaning players can now receive skins from these sets as part of their weekly rewards.

CS2 Major Revenue Share Changes Are Pushing Organizations Away from Counter-Strike

Valve’s new CS2 Major revenue share ties sticker income to VRS and final placement, removing capsule‑style payouts and concentrating money among top finishers. The result: higher volatility for clubs that relied on sticker cheques, early roster cuts like Gaimin Gladiators, and a narrower field of sustainable CS2 organizations unless the payout model changes.
