A storm is brewing in the competitive gaming world, particularly within the Counter-Strike 2 community. Allegations have surfaced that detail a deeply troubling series of events regarding the Elevate CS2 team and one of its former members.

At the heart of these allegations is a complex network of fraud, abuse, and blackmail. All allegedly spearheaded by the individual known as Adam "nbgee12" Zanzoul. This article sheds light on the disturbing activities that have been kept under wraps for far too long.

It should be noted that Nbgee12 is permanently banned on FACEIT for unsportsmanlike conduct due to criminal trespass and theft at IEM Dallas 2024.

Fraud and Theft: The Funding of Timbermen

It has come to light that Nbgee12 has been funneling money into the Timbermen esports team using funds stolen through a PayPal bank fraud scheme. By hacking PayPal accounts, Nbgee12 allegedly amassed hundreds of thousands of dollars. Primarily using these ill-gotten gains to purchase gold, which he then shipped to UPS locations before pawning it for cash. This money was used to fund the Timbermen, a team that has since moved on to Elevate.

However, the fraudulent activities didn’t stop there. When the players qualified for the Copenhagen CS2 Major, they allegedly coerced Nbgee12 into creating a fake organization, "BadAss Gaming," to continue their sponsorship. In exchange, he was promised a substitute player spot on the team.

Complicity and Silence: The Role of Elevate Players

Disturbingly, the players now at Elevate were reportedly aware of the fraudulent source of their funding. They allegedly demanded continued financial support from Nbgee12 for various esports events, such as Fragadelphia, in exchange for maintaining their relationship with him. The funds covered entrance fees, hotels, and flights to LAN events, among other things.

One particularly troubling incident involves Nbgee12 allegedly being asked to arrange for "professional dancers" to be sent to an Airbnb during a Fragadelphia event. Several players, including Kevin "consti" Yi and Nero, reportedly paid for intimate relations with these dancers. This event was apparently captured on video. But the footage has never been released due to the involvement of individuals who were reportedly underage.

The players of Elevate are said to maintain a tight-knit group, admitting only those they trust into their private Discord channels. Who are often individuals on whom they have incriminating information. This "mutual destruction" pact has allowed them to continue their activities with little fear of exposure.

Physical and Mental Abuse: The Dark Reality Behind Closed Doors

The allegations against Elevate extend beyond financial misconduct to include serious instances of physical and mental abuse. Despite the gifts and financial support provided by Nbgee12, he has reportedly been the victim of severe mistreatment by the players.

In one instance, after being plied with alcohol by Derek "dare" Brown and Wyatt "snav" Phillippi at a Fragicago event (a part of the Fragadelphia series, based off of Chicago), the underage Nbgee12 was allegedly assaulted by Damian "EMIYA" Boulware (formerly known as droid), who repeatedly punched him in the face. Other players reportedly had to intervene to stop the beating. But they collectively concocted a cover story to protect EMIYA from legal repercussions.

In another incident, Nbgee12 was allegedly locked in a closet by Dare and Shane "shane" Dressler, who then forced hot air into the confined space until he passed out. This kind of abuse, coupled with repeated physical and verbal degradation, has reportedly been a regular occurrence.

Beyond their treatment of Nbgee12, the players have also been accused of emotional abuse towards others. Snav, for example, is said to have subjected his girlfriend, @xIeesa, to regular verbal and emotional abuse, often in front of his teammates. This toxic behavior extended to his role as a coach, where he reportedly expressed disgust at coaching transgender players, using derogatory slurs to describe them.

Blackmail, Doxxing, and Swatting: A Culture of Fear

To maintain their silence and control over those who might expose them, Nbgee12 and his associates have allegedly resorted to extreme measures. Including blackmail, doxxing, and swatting. Victims have reportedly been shown pictures of a Glock-19, accompanied by veiled threats of violence if they spoke out.

These threats have allegedly been enforced with acts of swatting, where police are falsely dispatched to the homes of individuals, often with potentially deadly consequences. Such tactics have created a climate of fear, effectively silencing those who might otherwise come forward with evidence.

Unchanged Behavior: Continuing the Cycle of Misconduct

Despite facing bans and public scrutiny, the players of Elevate have allegedly continued their misconduct unabated. After blaming their ban on Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski, they reportedly tightened the security of their Discord channels. To prevent further leaks but continued to engage in the same behaviors that led to their initial punishment.

Among the disturbing activities that have persisted is the use of a Discord channel titled #dumb-women. This is where players allegedly post derogatory comments and images about female CS2 players. In one instance, Dare allegedly posted inappropriate content involving a minor, with others in the group expressing similar sentiments.

These behaviors, along with the continued harassment and abuse of other players, particularly in FaceIt lobbies and during LAN events, indicate a deeply ingrained culture of misogyny and abuse that remains unchecked.

Response by the Accused

At the time of writing this article, Nbgee12 and a few of the Elevate players have responded to these allegations on X.

Nbgee2 states that he has never been abused and that these allegations are “ridiculous”.

Shane has claimed that the original post was made by “some random person”. And that the allegations are a work of fiction with “absolutely zero merit behind them”. Snav and Peeping also agree with his sentiment, as they have reposted his post on X.

Meanwhile, Dare and Dea have decided to remain silent on the matter.

Conclusion: A Call for Accountability

The allegations detailed in this article paint a grim picture of a toxic and criminal culture within certain circles of the CS2 community. The actions of Nbgee12, Elevate, and their associates, if proven true, represent not only a breach of trust but also a serious threat to the integrity of esports as a whole.

It is imperative that those with evidence come forward to help bring these individuals to justice. The esports community must take a stand against such behavior. And ensure that those who engage in fraud, abuse, and blackmail are held accountable. Only then can the true spirit of competitive gaming be restored.

CS2 Major Revenue Share Changes Are Pushing Organizations Away from Counter-Strike

Valve’s new CS2 Major revenue share ties sticker income to VRS and final placement, removing capsule‑style payouts and concentrating money among top finishers. The result: higher volatility for clubs that relied on sticker cheques, early roster cuts like Gaimin Gladiators, and a narrower field of sustainable CS2 organizations unless the payout model changes.
