Bilibili Gaming (BLG) continue to ramp up in form at Worlds 2024, this time taking down none other than the #1 LCK seed of Hanwha Life Esports (HLE).

After a slow start to the biggest tournament of the year, in which BLG stood on the edge of elimination during the Swiss Stage, the team's surge back into shape continues as they move on to the Semifinals of Worlds 2024.

This time, their victim was one of the tournament favorites in Hanwha Life, who they defeated in stellar fashion in their Quarterfinal match. The series, which had the reigning LPL and LCK Champions squaring off against one another, delivered an incredibly high-level set of games and several thrilling moments which will surely go down in Worlds history.

BLG remind everyone who they are

BLG may have dominated the LPL all year long, and yet, there was little doubt in people's minds, HLE were coming into their Quarterfinals matchup as the big favorite after BLG's struggles throughout the Swiss Stage of Worlds 2024.

And, sure enough, HLE looked ready to prove everyone right when they took the first game of their Quarterfinal matchup against BLG off the back of incredible individual plays from their star-studded roster.

BLG and HLE put on a show at Worlds 2024

Not to be beaten down quite so easily, though, BLG's indomitable fighting spirit begun to shine through.

After the slow start to which they have grown accustomed, BLG took the following two games of the series thanks to their superior drafting and their ability to play around their biggest star and greatest top lane player in the world, Bin.

Up 2-1 in the series, BLG walked onto the stage for an incredibly tense Game 4 that would deliver on every front.

The stellar final game of the series saw the two champions live up to their status as BLG and HLE went toe-to-toe for large portions of the game. With momentum and gold leads swinging back and forth, several of the game's fights were being constantly decided by the finest of margins.

Stars like Zeka or Elk seemed to level up to stratospheric heights as no player was willing to give anything up.

In the end, it was BLG's fighting spirit that persevered once more.

Inching slowly towards HLE's nexus, BLG ultimately proved their worth with a dramatic finish to what was the greatest game at Worlds 2024 so far.

An ode to League of Legends

The incredible series served as a reminder of what Worlds is all about. With some of the greatest teams and individual names on the planet fighting for League of Legends immortality, it is always the fans of the game who are the biggest winners in the end.

BLG and HLE's stunning level of play throughout the day was a beauty to behold.

From ridiculous individual plays to clutch moments and incredible team fights, League of Legends simply does not get any better than this.

Now we know, when you put champions against champions with the biggest trophy on the line, what you get is a spectacle.
