After securing the promotion spot for VCT Pacific, BLEED Esports announced the departure of Juicy and Nephh as they opt-in for the two-year mandatory military service. With ⅖ players of the Ascension winning roster gone, BLEED needed good players to replace the two youngsters.

Coming into the off//season, the team has been eyeing both Aspas and Yay, the superstar duelists/fraggers. BLEED has reportedly offered them the biggest package possible, higher than any Americas or EMEA organization.

While there are no confirmations on either of the offers, BLEED Esports has finally announced their fourth player. BLEED has signed Egoist, who previously played for X10, Team SMG and Paper Rex.

The Ups and Downs of Esports:

Javier “Egoist” Chua is a Singaporean Valorant player who started his Valorant journey with Paper Rex. He spent much of 2021 with Team SMG who were the top contenders in MY/SG, but did not qualify for an International LAN falling behind X10 and Paper Rex.

After team SMG’s failed venture, Egoist spent two years without a team. He returned to competitive play with X10 in VCL MY/SG. In both the splits, BLEED dominated X10 to secure the VCT Pacific Ascension and the promotion. Post-VCL conclusion, X10 released the Valorant squad and Egoist was once again without a team.

BLEED Esports - A Journey to the Top:

BLEED Esports is a young organization established in the later half of 2021. Their Valorant division was a top MY/SG contender alongside Paper Rex and XERXIA in 2022. Unfortunately, BLEED could not take down their compatriots and spent most of 2022 without much International exposure.

When Riot announced the partnership program, BLEED had ongoing internal issues and opted out of application process. Instead, they started making moves to field the best team in order to win VCT Pacific Ascension.

The team already had a solid core with Deryeon, Crazyguy and Juicy for 2023. BLEED acquired sScary from XERXIA, the biggest SEA prospect after Paper Rex players. The organization reportedly offered more money than the partnership teams for sScary.

With sScary in the mix, BLEED achieved what they set their eyes on. The organization stomped MY/SG on their way to the Ascensions and only lost one Bo3 at the VCT Pacific Ascension. With the win, BLEED also secured a two-year spot with the VCT Pacific. They will be seen competing at the VCT Pacific Kickoff event next year.

Unfortunately, after the team’s run concluded, it was announced that Juicy and Nephh will be leaving the roster for the mandatory military service.

As a replacement, the team announced the addition of Egoist. This will be Egoist’s second return to active competition. It will also be his T1 debut at VCT Pacific 2024 kickoff.

With Egoist, the VCT 2024 BLEED Esports roster will be as follows:

  • Ngô "crazyguy" Công Anh
  • Nutchapon "sScary" Matarat
  • Derrick "Deryeon" Yee
  • Javier "Egoist" Chua
  • Nikola "LEGIJA" Ninić (Head coach)
