BLAST Open Porto Playoffs: Teams, Bracket, Schedule, and More
BLAST Open Porto kicked off on August 26, with sixteen of the top CS2 teams headed to BLAST Studios in Copenhagen to compete in a double-elimination group stage. After six days of intense matchups, six teams have now advanced to the tournament's playoff stage.
From September 4–6, these six teams will battle it out in a single-elimination playoff bracket at the Super Bock Arena in Porto, Portugal, to determine the champion. The Quarterfinals and Semifinals will be best-of-three, while the Grand Final will be a best-of-five showdown.
Here’s everything you need to know about BLAST Open Porto playoffs, including the teams, schedule, livestream details, and more.
Group Stage Recap
BLAST Open Porto’s group stage featured several interesting matchups, which included a fair share of surprises and upsets. One of the more shocking results early in the tournament was NAVI’s loss to M80 in their Group A opener. NAVI faced another disappointing outcome later on, as they were eliminated following a 2-0 defeat to G2 in the Lower Bracket Semifinals.
G2, despite suffering a 2-0 loss to Spirit in the Upper Bracket Semifinals, still secured a playoff spot with wins over NAVI and Aurora. Group A also saw Team Spirit advance directly to the Semifinals with a flawless 3-0 run, defeating DENDELE CS, G2, and FURIA.
Group B delivered perhaps the tournament's biggest shock, as Team Vitality, who were widely regarded as the best Counter-Strike team for most of the year, lost their opening match 0-2 to Inner Circle Esports. Vitality, however, mounted a comeback through the Lower Bracket, defeating 9z, Legacy, and FUT Esports to earn a quarterfinal berth.
Legacy also put together a strong group stage showing despite failing to qualify, starting with a win over FUT in their opener and following it up with narrow losses to Vitality and Falcons. Meanwhile, Group B saw MOUZ secure a semifinal spot after beating 9z, IC Esports, and Team Falcons.
