Overwatch World Cup 2019 Main Event

Blizzard is set to host the fourth consecutive edition of the World Cup in Overwatch. A new tournament structure is in place for 2019 which will offer opportunities for all eligible countries to form teams to challenge for their right to play in the onsite Group Stage. The event starts off with the " Preliminaries" where 42 nations will play in a single-elimination bracket with the top five earning their spot for the "Main Event". After BlizzCon’s Opening Ceremony on Friday, November 1, the Group Stage will commence. The top six teams from the Group Stage will advance to the single-elimination playoffs to award the Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals in the BlizzCon Arena on Saturday, November 2.
