Norwegian organization Apeks is set to list their entire CS2 roster for transfer, as first reported by Alejandro "Anonimotum" Gomis through his sources. This decision comes shortly after the announcement of their intent to continue with Martin “STYKO” Styk, indicating a significant shift in direction for the organization.

Roster Up for Sale

The players affected by this decision include STYKO, Tim “nawwk” Jonasson, Joakim “jkaem” Myrbostad, Aleksandar “CacaNito” Kjulukoski, and Ådne “sense” Fredriksen.

Apeks has already confirmed STYKO’s departure, raising questions about the future of the remaining members.

The fate of coach Torbjørn “mithR” Nyborg and Alexander “Altekz” Givskov, who recently joined the organization, remains uncertain amid these changes.

Apeks' Ambitious Signings

In their pursuit of top-tier status in Counter-Strike, Apeks made ambitious signings, including French legend Richard “shox” Papillon. However, the success of these acquisitions varied. Notably, Damjan “kyxsan” Stoilkovski and Justinas “jL” Lekavičius propelled Apeks to the semi-finals at the BLAST.tv Paris Major in 2023, a significant achievement in their history.

Since then, jL has joined NaVi and won the first ever CS2 Major, as well as claiming the MVP Award. While kyxsan has been signed to be the IGL of a rebuilding Heroic roster.

Despite some promising performances, such as qualifying for the first CS2 Major in Copenhagen, Apeks has struggled to make a significant impact in 2024. Their failure to reach the playoffs in the Challengers Stage underscores their recent downturn in form.

Uncertain Future for Academy Team

Apeks also boasts an academy team, Apeks Rebels, comprising young talent from Scandinavia. The fate of this roster remains uncertain, with questions arising about potential promotions or disbandment.

Overall, Apeks’ decision to part ways with their CS2 roster marks a significant shift for the organization, signaling a potential overhaul in their approach to competitive Counter-Strike.
