ZOWIE just unleashed the XL2586X+, and it's not messing around. We're talking 600Hz on a Fast-TN panel with the latest DyAc 2 tech, and was already the official monitor at the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025. When most of CS2 pros already trust ZOWIE monitors, you know they're doing something right. And this new beast takes things even further.

600Hz and motion clarity that hits different

Here's the thing about the XL2586X+: it's built around a 24.1-inch Fast-TN panel pushing 600Hz. That's fast. Really fast. But the refresh rate is only part of the story.

The real magic happens with DyAc 2 (Dynamic Accuracy), ZOWIE's tech that cuts through motion blur when you're flicking or tracking. It helps you spot enemies faster and land those shots that matter when the round is on the line.

The monitor also comes with an industrial-grade bearing-based stand that makes height adjustments smooth as butter. It sounds like a small thing until you're trying to dial in your perfect setup before a match. Other features include Black eQualizer for better visibility in shadows, Color Vibrance for saturation tweaks, and the S Switch for quick profile changes between games or setups.

Built with legends, tested by the best

ZOWIE doesn't chase every trend that pops up. They've spent over 15 years working directly with pros. Legends like Abdisamad "SpawN" Mohamed and Emil "HeatoN" Christensen were part of the development process from the start. And it wasn't just feedback sessions! Athletes like donk have been brought into ZOWIE's Sports Science Labs for motion tracking experiments, where engineers break down hand movements and muscle responses frame by frame.

This obsession with getting it right means products sometimes take longer to hit the market. Take wireless mice. The tech was already everywhere, but ZOWIE waited until they could meet their own performance standards before releasing their wireless lineup. That patience pays off when pros trust your gear on the biggest stages.

Why the Budapest Major matters

ZOWIE's presence at the Budapest Major isn't just about slapping their logo on a tournament. It's about making sure players can perform at their absolute best when everything's on the line. The XL2586X+ being the official monitor means every player walks into the server with the same setup they've been grinding on at home or in bootcamp. No surprises, no adjustments, just pure performance.

The brand's Level Up as One philosophy shows up here in a real way. It's not just marketing speak. When tournament organizers trust your monitors enough to make them the standard, and when competing brands sometimes use rebranded ZOWIE displays at their own events, that tells you everything about where the bar is set. The XL2586X+ continues that legacy, giving pros the tools they need to make split-second decisions that win or lose rounds.

Behind the scenes at Budapest

Getting invited to ZOWIE's media tour during the Budapest Major gave us a rare look at what goes into building esports gear at this level. It's one thing to read specs on a product page, but seeing the development philosophy up close (the collaboration with pros, the Sports Science Labs, the deliberate approach to adopting new tech) makes it clear why ZOWIE holds the position it does in competitive gaming.

Thanks to ZOWIE for opening the doors and showing what happens behind the curtains. These insights into how products like the XL2586X+ come to life help explain why pros keep coming back to the brand when their careers are on the line.

During the media tour, ZOWIE opened up about their development philosophy and where the brand is heading. Here's what they had to say:

Does ZOWIE plan to adopt new technologies such as OLED panels or ultra-lightweight mice in the future?

ZOWIE does not limit itself exclusively to Fast TN technology. The company is working closely with panel manufacturers to explore whether OLED panels can be combined with existing technologies such as DyAc. However, ZOWIE will not adopt OLED if it does not provide a clear performance advantage over current TN solutions.

The same philosophy applies to mice. While prototypes of lightweight mice exist, none have yet demonstrated a measurable performance benefit. ZOWIE emphasizes that "lighter" does not automatically mean "better," especially when it comes to maintaining consistent, high-level gameplay.

Does ZOWIE use AI in product development?

Yes and no. AI is used to simulate casual player behavior, but it cannot replace professional players in the development process. According to ZOWIE, current AI systems are not yet capable of accurately replicating the decision-making and precision of top-tier professionals. Human intuition and experience remain essential factors in creating high-performance esports equipment.

Why did ZOWIE decide to become the official monitor partner of the Budapest Major?

ZOWIE chose to support the Budapest Major because of its strong commitment to competitive esports. Being present at one of the most important tournaments allows the brand to ensure that players can perform at their best. The goal is to provide professionals with the same monitors they use in practice and competition—products they trust and rely on daily.
