Team Liquid has announced the departure of Wilton "zews" Prado from his coaching role.

The Brazilian coach joined the North American organization in December alongside Felipe "skullz" Medeiros and Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken. Although the lineup seemed poised to make strides, yet they failed to reach the expected results under Casper "cadiaN" Møller’s leadership.

This marks the team's second change, following "cadiaN" being sidelined earlier this month. During his brief tenure, zews's results were inconsistent, reaching only the Quarter-finals at IEM Chengdu and ESL Pro League Season 19, their best achievements so far.

"zews" second stint with Team Liquid fell short of expectations and results, prompting the decision for change. Additionally, Felipe "skullz" Medeiros, the remaining Brazilian figure on the team, is reportedly set to join FURIA according to multiple sources. These changes aim to rebuild a damaged roster with the goal of restoring the North American organization to its former glory.

In a post on X, Wilton opened up about his feelings regarding his departure from Team Liquid. Expressing his frustration, he emphasized that he had put in his best efforts to contribute to the team's success. Despite his dedication and hard work, the outcome wasn't what he had hoped for, leaving him disappointed with the situation.

“Not gonna lie, it sucks and hurts to be out of Team Liquid… All I can say is that I gave it my all and I genuinely have nothing but love for the organization and the people in it.” - zews

CS2 Major Revenue Share Changes Are Pushing Organizations Away from Counter-Strike

Valve’s new CS2 Major revenue share ties sticker income to VRS and final placement, removing capsule‑style payouts and concentrating money among top finishers. The result: higher volatility for clubs that relied on sticker cheques, early roster cuts like Gaimin Gladiators, and a narrower field of sustainable CS2 organizations unless the payout model changes.
