At VCT Pacific Week 6, ZETA faced Team Secret. In a best of three series ZETA Division took down Team Secret. With the win, ZETA established themselves as one of the contenders for the second seed. After the game, Strafe had an opportunity to interview ZETA’s Yuuma “Dep” Hisamoto. In an exclusive one-on-one interview, ZETA Dep talks about the game, map changes and meeting LOUD at Masters Tokyo.

Q. Congratulations on the win. What was the reason behind playing Split?

ZETA Dep: “The reason I think is, we played that map very well in Practice so I think that’s the reason. However, all our map picks are coaches so I don’t exactly know why?

Q. You started strong on the second map, But could not close it. What were the crucial mistakes made on the second map?

ZETA Dep: “We haven’t played a lot of Lotus, so we had troubles adapting to the playstyle and then We read way too far in what they are thinking and that’s the reason we lost the map”

Q. How’d you rate your performance today?

ZETA Dep: “I’d give my team 80% because my team played really well. I made plenty mistakes during set plays so I’d give myself 60%”

Q.  Obviously, you played a lot of Jett and have been playing it a lot. Does playing Raze sometimes disrupt your performance at all?

ZETA Dep: “Not at all because I really like Raze. I don’t really feel discomfort”

Q. In the upcoming weeks, you’d have three tough opponents in T1, Paper Rex and GenG. What are your thoughts on the game and what will be the preparation like for the next two weeks? What do you think ZETA needs to work on to secure Master Tokyo?

ZETA Dep: “Those teams have good aim. I think we shouldn’t be scared and prepare for them. For Masters Tokyo, We have to strengthen ourselves as a team and as individuals”

Q. Would we see ZETA choosing to play Bind in the upcoming weeks?

ZETA Dep: “We’d make the decision after we practice a little bit more on the map”

Q. What are your thoughts on Riot changing things mid-season?

ZETA Dep: “We will just adapt to the environment”

Q. Who do you want to face the most?

ZETA Dep: “Mostly I want to face Aspas”  Follow-up Question - Who’d you think won the Jett battle between you and Aspas? “I think it’d be him”
