The arrival of Patch 25.12 to League of Legends has delivered sweeping changes to the meta. As one of the largest patches in recent memory with the addition of the Uzi Hall of Legends Pass and skin collections, as well as large buffs and nerfs to champions across the board, this latest update looks to set the tone of ahead of MSI 2025.

With champions climbing and falling in strength and priority with the latest update, let's take a look at who became the biggest winners and losers of League of Legends Patch 25.12 as the dust begins to settle.

Biggest Winners of Patch 25.12

Zeri

The most recent buffs to Zeri have seen the speedster's win rate climb considerably as her pick rate more than doubled in Patch 25.12. Though her early laning phase remains the same, changes to Zeri's [R] Lightning Crash make the champion scale considerably better as the game goes on.

With devastating power when it comes to stacked up targets, make sure you hold on to your ultimate until a team fight breaks out, shattering through the enemy team with Zeri's increased multi-target damage.

Twisted Fate

Like Zeri, Twisted Fate's pick rate doubled with the arrival of the new patch, all while spiking his win rate to new heights in the process. One of the biggest winners of the patch, buffs to the Card Master's [E] Stacked Deck make the champion a slightly bigger nuisance in lane.

The real treat, however, was the cooldown reduction to Twisted Fate's [R] Destiny, which has seen the champion take over the map more consistently in Patch 25.12.

Lee Sin

Is the King of the jungle back on his throne? Though not the easiest champion to master, Lee Sin received exactly the kind of tweaks he needed to become an early game menace once more.

The Blind Monk's [E] Cripple was buffed to slow for nearly twice as much early on, immediately propelling Lee Sin as one of the top junglers in League of Legends, particularly among the highest tiers of the game. Will the buffs prove enough to see Lee Sin return as a priority pick on the professional stage? MSI will be the judge of that.

Biggest Losers of Patch 25.12

Azir

And speaking of MSI, one champion that has terrorized pro play for years has seen Patch 25.12 deliver a sweeping blow to his kneecaps. With a -5 Move Speed nerf on top of a hit to his Attack Speed scaling, Azir's laning phase is quickly becoming one of the weakest in the mid lane.

After the latest blows endured by the champion, Azir currently holds one of the lowest win rates in the entire game at a disastrous 45.84%.

Ahri

Just like Azir, the Nine-Tailed Fox has been a pro play menace for far too long. Was that enough to warrant so many nerfs, though? Ahri saw both her mobility and her pick potential take large hits with nerfs to the duration of her [E] Charm and the cooldown of the [R] Spirit Rush.

With both Ahri and Azir looking battered and bruised, expect the Mid Lane meta at MSI 2025 to don a completely new look.

Rumble

Completing the trifecta of champions which were forced to pay for the sins of pro players is Rumble. Once a staple of the Top Lane, nerfs to the damage of Rumble's bread and butter, his [Q] Flamespitter, have seen the champion fall off a cliff in terms of raw strength.

If you thought Azir's win rate was bad, just know that Rumble currently holds on to the lowest win rate in the entire game (43.80%) for any champion with a pick rate of 1% or above in Patch 25.12. All that's left to do now is take a moment of silence for all Rumble mains out there.

Shaking Up the Meta

The latest patch has delivered a barrage of changes to League of Legends, causing power shifts across every single role in the game. With such a large shake-up, it's good to keep up to date on which champions have propelled ahead of the competition, and which have fallen out of favor, so as to help you make informed decisions when you prepare load up to Summoner's Rift.
