Virtus.pro has announced the signing of former Cloud9 player Denis "electroNic" Sharipov to replace Nikolay "mir" Bityukov on their Counter-Strike 2 roster.

"I'm also excited about the idea of playing with Jame, as he's one of the most unique IGLs in the game. Can't wait to adapt to my new team and start doing what I came here for — winning trophies," electroNic stated on the organization's website.

Strategic Upgrade

The decision comes after a challenging start to the year for Virtus.pro, with disappointing performances at IEM Katowice Play-in and PGL Major Copenhagen. With electroNic's arrival, the team aims to strengthen its firepower, as mir had struggled with a 0.97 rating against top 30 opposition in CS2.

While mir and electroNic share similar roles on the team, electroNic's aggressive playstyle brings a new dimension to Virtus.pro's strategy.

Previous Endeavors

electroNic's stint with Cloud9, where he joined alongside Ilya "Perfecto" Zalutskiy from Natus Vincere last July, did not meet expectations. Despite early promise, the team failed to advance past the quarterfinals in several events, leading to internal roster changes.

New Lineup

With electroNic's addition, Virtus.pro now fields:

Dastan "dastan" Akbayev remains as the team's coach, while Nikolay "mir" Bityukov transitions to a substitute role.

As Virtus.pro looks to reclaim its former glory, all eyes will be on electroNic and the revamped roster as they strive to dominate the competitive scene once more.

Another Early Exit, Same Old Story: Team Falcons Are Running Out Of Excuses

There is a cruel irony at the heart of Team Falcons' CS2 project. Hand someone from 2022 their current roster sheet — NiKo, m0NESY, TeSeS, Kyxsan, kyosuke, all under the tutelage of five-time Major-winning coach Zonic — and they would confidently declare this team the undisputed best in the world. And yet, here we are in March 2026, watching Falcons get knocked out of BLAST Open Spring in the quarterfinals by PARIVISION.
