Top Esports Report their Jungler naiyou for Potential Match-fixing

Through a post on Weibo, Top Esports (TES) have announced that they are investigating their own Jungler Yang "naiyou" Zi-Jian for "seriously violating club rules and regulations and professional ethics."

Though the organization did not provide any specific examples to show what it is they are referring to, Top Esports did disclose they have already reported the situation to the league, whose disciplinary department will continue to handle the investigation from here on out.

Investigating Your Own Player: What Did naiyou Do?

In their announcement, Top Esports did not directly address the issues they referred to. The last game the team played was in the Lower Bracket of the 2026 LPL Split 1 Playoffs, where they fell eliminated by Weibo Gaming just days ago (on March 2).

In that series, nobody understood naiyou's build in the last game of the match. On Skarner against a Weibo comp made up of Yorick, Dr. Mundo, Galio, Jinx, and Thresh (sole AP threat being Galio), naiyou decided to build full Magic Resistance, and didn't purchase a single armor item.

Given these circumstances, and the fact that Top Esports themselves referred to naiyou as having violated "professional ethics," it is heavily hinted at that the investigation has to do with naiyou purposefully losing the game. Or, as everybody knows it, wintrading.

Note that this is only speculation at this point, and we will need to wait until the league concludes their investigation before we know more for sure.

You can find Top Esports' complete statement regarding their investigation of naiyou below:

On the evening of March 2, 2026, following the conclusion of the first stage of the competition, an investigation was launched into the unusual performance of jungler Yang Zijian (ID: naiyou) regarding potential violations of fair play. The club has also reported this to the league.

Through its investigation, the club has discovered that Yang Zijian (ID: naiyou) is suspected of seriously violating club rules and regulations and professional ethics, and engaging in improper conduct that affects the fairness of the competition. The club has reported the current situation to the league and transferred it to the league's disciplinary department for investigation and handling. The league's disciplinary team has intervened in the investigation, and we will take serious action against this incident based on the league's investigation results. Our club has always adhered to the bottom line of fair competition and resolutely resists all violations that affect the fairness of the competition. We will deal with internal violations strictly and severely. We thank our fans, partners, and the public for their supervision.

The club will take t
his as a lesson, uphold its professional aspirations, and build a compliant, healthy, and positive esports team.

League of Legends Patch 26.07 landed on April 1, 2026, continuing the string of smaller-than-usual wave of changes as Riot's attention shifts toward the upcoming Season 2 update. Key tweaks hit the Support pool, with Nami receiving nerfs to her W bounce mechanic and the support farming penalty being removed entirely, while a handful of statistical overperformers across other roles were also trimmed. The meta, however, remains largely intact, and the champions who excelled in Solo Queue in previous patches continue to shine. If you're looking to gain LP efficiently, here are the best champions to climb ranked in LoL Patch 26.07.
