Evil Geniuses bounced back and FlyQuest logged another loss — here's what we learned from the sixth week of the 2023 League of Legends Championship Series (LCS) Spring Split.

The Recall: What we learned from LCS Week 6

EG and Cloud9 were the only two teams to achieve a 2-0 Week 6. While EG looked admittedly shaky in both games, especially versus TSM, their win over the first-place FLY was impressive. EG tied Immortals for most kills this week with 34, and whether or not it's a positive stat, EG's average game time of 41.6 minutes is the longest in the league.

EG mid laner Joseph Joon "jojopyun" Pyun earned the Player of the Week award after he went 14-3-11 and led all players in kills as well as XP difference at 10 minutes with 657. His support, Philippe "Vulcan" Laflamme, led all players with 28 assists in Week 6 and overtook C9 support Jesper "Zven" Svenningsen for most total assists this split with 133.

The Recall: What we learned from LCS Week 6

In Week 6, C9 led all teams in gold spent difference with an extremely high 23.2%; the next highest was FLY's 5.6%. C9 also logged fewer deaths than any other team with just 13, seven of which belonged to Zven (giving him a 53.8% death percentage). Speaking of deaths, C9 bot laner Kim "Berserker" Min-cheol has less deaths — 9 in 13 games — than any other player who's played all of his team's games. Berserker leads in both total KDA (55/9/78, or 14.8) and Week 6 KDA (4/0/13, or 17).

C9 jungler Robert "Blaber" Huang also attained two steals last week and led all players with 54.4% of jungle CS taken, giving him 53.9% on the split — also leading all players.

With one more win than C9 and two more than EG, FLY is still sitting pretty atop the league. The team leads in both percentage of drakes (67%) and Rift Heralds (69%) taken; curiously, FLY and C9 are the only two teams with zero Elder Dragon attempts, for or against. Despite a middling week, FLY bot laner Lee "Prince" Chae-hwan still leads all players in total kills with 83.

100 Thieves are 1-6 in the last three weeks, with their only win coming against a Team Liquid squad that's gone 2-5 over the same period — and while one win came against the 3-10 IMT, their March 2 win against Golden Guardians ended the team's seven-game winning streak.

Other notable stats

  • TL leads all teams in lane percentage with 51% of lane minions taken.
  • C9 Berserker didn't die this week, giving him more deathless games (7) than games with deaths (6) this split.
  • Varus's combined score of 18/4/21 and KDA of 9.8 is the most of any champion with more than one game played.
  • Zeri leads all champs in kills with 143 in 29 games; the next highest is Lucian with 94 in 25.
  • In Week 6, Vi led in kills (19) and deaths (19), and was second in assists (51).
  • Varus and Ashe had a 100% pick-ban rate last week.
