FlyQuest prevailed over Cloud9 in battle of 3-0 teams, and 100 Thieves are back to form — here's what we learned from the second week of the 2023 League of Legends Championship Series (LCS) Spring Split.

The Recall: What we learned from LCS Week 2

FlyQuest are the only remaining undefeated team after beating C9 on Feb. 3. They have the fewest deaths of any team with just 20 in four games, as well as a 2.7 kill/death ratio that leads the league and is ten times larger than Dignitas' bottom-ranking 0.27 KD.

FQ's star botlaner Lee "Prince" Chae-hwan won Player of the Week honors and tied his support Kim "Winsome" Dong-keon and C9 botlaner Kim "Berserker" Min-cheol for least deaths of any player with just 2. He also tied Evil Geniuses botlaner Ian Victor "FBI" Huang and 100 botlaner Yiliang "Doublelift” Peng for most kills with 24; his 44.4% kill share is also ranked first.

Despite the loss to FlyQuest, C9 is still a top squad. The team leads the league with 68 kills that's almost as many as the three bottom-ranking teams' kills combined. Their combined kills per minute stat is also the highest, with a 0.86. C9 Berserker's scoreline of 10/2/28 and KDA of 19 rank first among players.

The Recall: What we learned from LCS Week 2

Joining the ranks of the league's top teams, 100 Thieves led in both kills and deaths last week with a 36/6 KD. While Doublelift deserves praise for his strong play like his league-leading 17 kills and his stellar 11.4 CS per minute (CSPM) in Week 2 100 jungler Can "Closer" Çelik deserves some love too, as he led the league with a 61.7% jungle share vs. Dignitas and TSM.

Other notable stats

  • Golden Guardians possess the highest average game time at 36.7.
  • Dignitas have the lowest jungle share percentage with just 41.5%.
  • EG midlaner Joseph Joon "Jojopyun" Pyun continues to lead in death share; his 43.2% makes him the only player with a percentage over 35%.
  • Three players have a CSPM of ten or higher: Counter Logic Gaming botlaner Fatih "Luger" Güven with 10.3, 100 Doublelift with 10.2 and FQ Prince with 10.1.
  • EG support Philippe "Vulcan" Laflamme's 4/0/26 score and KDA of 30 led all players last week.
  • Sejuani and Kassadin lead all champions with a 95% pick/ban rate, only being left out of one game each.
  • Zeri's KDA of 40/11/36 (6.9) is the highest among champions with more than two games played.
