T1 and Dplus KIA are still the teams to beat, and support is stronger than ever — here's everything we learned from the second week of the 2023 League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) Spring Split.

The Recall: What we learned from LCK Week 2

While T1 came out on top in their head-to-head battle, DK's players are still the statistical kings of spring so far. DK botlaner Kim "Deft" Hyuk-kyu leads all players in kills with 61 and has an absurd kill share of 49.6% -- which is 13.1% higher than the next best score -- while support Kim "Kellin" Hyeong-gyu leads in deaths (9), assists (106), KDA (12.7), kill participation (92.7%). Deft is also one of three players above 10 CS per minute, with his 10.4 ranking highest above kt Rolster botlaner Kim "Aiming" Ha-ram's 10.3 and Nongshim RedForce botlaner Ha "vital" In-seong's 10.2.

DK have the highest kill-death ratio with 2.12 and the lowest death count in the LCK with 58 in nine games, less than half of bottom ranked DRX's 145 deaths in nine games.

Their victorious Week 2 opponents T1 lay claim to the shortest average game time with 29.9 minutes as well as the highest kill total, with 136 in 10 games, exactly twice as many as the Kwangdong Freecs' 68 kills in nine games. Due to their Jan. 26 demolition of KDF, T1 also took an average of 7.8 turret plates this week.

While last week's 10th place team DRX were able to win a series this week, fellow 1-1 record holders Hanwha Life Esports went 1-4 and recorded 70 deaths in their five games this week. Commentators have cited HLE's inability to win without midlaner Kim "ZEKA" Geon-woo performing well.

  • Caitlyn support went 3-0 this week in the hands of T1 support Ryu "Keria" Min-seok (once) and DRX support Cho "BeryL" Geon-hee (twice).
  • Mid lane Ryze has the highest pick-ban rate among champions with 98%.
  • Bot lane Lucian leads in total kills with 110 in 24 games, and his 724 damage per minute is also top ranked.

Strafe LCK Player of the Week: T1 Keria (3/10/48 in five games)

Keria wasn't the best statistical player this week, but he leads the LCK in total assists with 109 and unleashed global floodgates when he played one game each of Caitlyn and Kalista support. Honorable mention to Liiv SANDBOX jungler Kim "Willer" Jeong-hyeon, who stole a dragon, a Baron and two Elder Dragons this week.
