In every Dota 2 update, some heroes rise while others fall and patch 7.39b is no different. While it is a small meta shift from the previous version, it still has it's own set of winners and losers to look into.

In this article we will be examining the biggest win rate shifts among heroes, and discussing which heroes are worth picking up, and which should be ignored for now.

The biggest winners in Dota 2 patch 7.39b

Enchantress

For the third patch in a row, Enchantress gets direct buffs. Her latest round includes an extra 12.5% healing from Nature's Attendants. As a durable support who can greatly reduce enemy's attack speed, having more heal is a huge buff for the hero.

Does that mean the hero is viable? well, sort of. She does scale well late-game and can dominate the laning stage with creeps. But she is reliant on finding the right camps, and doesn't farm as fast as she used to.

While overall a decent hero, Enchantress is probably best left to the hands of the specialists this patch.

Dazzle

Dazzle went from a sub 50% win rate hero to 52% in Dota 2 patch 7.39 and the love keeps on coming. Nothl Boon now buffs healing on allies by 7.5%. This is a 50% increase on the facet, making it well worth taking.

Dazzle typically plays as a support who focuses on healing allies. Now he does this more efficiently. It also works really well with items like Holy Locket and Mekansm, staple pickups for the hero.

Does that make the hero worth picking up? we certainly think so. Whether it's Nothl Boon or Poison Bloom, both can work depending on your style. Dazzle can dish out both love and pain in a game and has a flexible item build, making him one of our biggest winners in 7.39b.

Kez

The biggest winner of Dota 2 patch 7.39b is Kez. Falcon Rush lasts slightly longer, and his mana pool is a little easier to manage. After the butchering he recieved in the previous update, we think his 2% win rate increase is due to both small buffs and players getting used to his many changes.

That doesn't mean Kez should be picked right now, as he still has an abysmal 45% win rate. The hero is complicated, with no guide from competitive games to work on. Until he is allowed into Captain's Mode, we suggest steering clear from Kez.

Omniknight

After a tiny time in the limelight, Omniknight got hit heavily with the nerf stick. Hammer of Purity has an additional 25% cooldown added, with a damage reduction at earlier levels to boot.

It's a bit of a shame really. Still, I was never a fan of the core Omniknight playstyle and I'm glad that's nerfed. But the hits from 7.39b also impact his laning stage as a support, and that's unfortunate.

You can still play the hero if you like. Whether as a support or a core, Omniknight remains viable. But a negative winrate and a big hit to his laning firmly puts him on our list of biggest losers of patch 7.39b

Templar Assassin

While Templar Assassin dominates the competitive scene, she is having less success in pub games. Her recent round of nerfs heavily hurt Refraction, making it more expensive to cast and less beneficial overall.

For a hero reliant on winning the laning stage and bursting enemies down, a weaker Refraction goes a long way to balancing Templar Assassin. Still, the hero is a powerhouse, as her 100% winrate in the latest DreamLeague proves.

Visage

We are surprised to find Visage on our list of biggest losers for Dota 2 patch 7.39b. We didn't think a nerf to one of his facets would tank his win rate by over 3%

Then again, Sepulchre is easily Visage's best facet, and the nerf is pretty big, nearly reducing it's impact by half. That's a hefty hit to the hero.

Visage is also someone who does well when patch are launched. While most players are experimenting with new builds, Visage just mows down towers and takes Ancients. As patches stabilize, the hero becomes less effective.

But, if you're a Visage specialist, there is still plenty of life in the hero. While not the best laner, he is among the fastest pushers in the game and well worth grinding MMR with.
