T1 won 3-1 against Gen.G on April 1, the first match day of Round 3 of the 2023 League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) Spring Playoffs at LOL Park in Seoul, South Korea.

T1 advances to the 2023 LCK Spring Final on April 8, while GEN falls to the Lower Bracket Final where they'll play against the winner of kt Rolster and Hanwha Life Esports' April 2 playoff series; the winner of the former series will join T1 in the Final.

T1 also became the first Eastern team to qualify for the 2023 Mid-Season Invitational.

T1 vs. Gen.G

Game 1: T1 wins

T1 won Game 1 against Gen.G with a 23-8 win in 37:07. T1 top laner Choi "Zeus" Woo-je earned his first Player of the Game award of the post-season and went 7/1/10 on Jayce; jungler Mun "Oner" Hyeon-jun found a 4/1/13 Sejuani performance; mid laner Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok finished 3/2/13 on Lissandra; and bot laner Lee "Gumayusi" Min-hyeong and support Ryu "Keria" Min-seok were 9/2/9 on Varus and 0/2/20 on Braum. T1 found 11 towers, four inhibitors, two Baron Nashors, Dragon Soul, Elder Dragon and two Rift Heralds in the loss, and GEN only took two towers. GEN mid laner Jeong "Chovy" Ji-hoon went 4/1/1 on LeBlanc in the loss. LCK Player of the Game: T1 Zeus, 100 points

Game 2: T1 wins

T1 won a much closer Game 2 against Gen.G in 40:20 by a 19-14 kill score. T1 Gumayusi went 12/2/7 on Aphelios and led in kills; Oner notched a 3/2/16 Sejuani score; Faker made plays on his 1/4/13 Lissandra; and Keria was 2/2/16 on Thresh. Despite GEN's eight towers, two inhibs, Baron and two Heralds, T1 won with eight towers, two inhibs, Baron, Soul and Elder. GEN's Chovy and bot laner Kim "Peyz" Su-hwan went 6/4/4 on Jayce and 6/2/3 on Xayah in the loss. LCK Player of the Game: T1 Gumayusi, 200 points

Game 3: GEN wins

Gen.G cut T1's lead to 2-1 with a 16-10 win in Game 2 that lasted 44:45. GEN top laner Choi "Doran" Hyeon-joon was 5/3/7 on Jayce; jungler Han "Peanut" Wang-ho saved the game on his 3/1/8 Wukong; Peyz finished 6/2/6 on Xayah; and Chovy added a 1/0/5 LeBlanc KDA. T1 were able to secure nine towers, three inhibitors, two Barons and three drakes, but GEN's eight towers, one inhib, Baron, Dragon Soul and two Heralds were enough to overcome the first-place T1, whose botlaner Gumayusi went 5/1/3 on Aphelios in the loss. Game 4: T1 wins

T1 won their series against Gen.G with a 14-7 win in Game 2 in 29:47. T1 Faker earned POTG honors for his 5/1/7 performance on Jayce; jungler Oner was 1/0/12 on Sejuani; Gumayusi's Varus found a 3/1/5 score; Zeus finished 3/3/7 on Sylas; and Keria picked Tahm Kench and went 2/2/11. T1 secured nine towers, one inhibitor, Baron, Dragon Soul and a Herald in the win, while GEN had three towers, one Herald, and a 3/2/3 Chovy score in their losing effort.
