The BTS Pro Series Season 14 had concluded, and Shopify Rebellion has been crowned as the champions. There were 15 invited teams. The invited teams went through 3 different phases of the tournament to duke it out for their fair share of the $40 000 USD prize pool. Some teams also considered this tournament as a practice before going into The Lima Major.

The Recap

None of the teams that competed from phase 1 of the tournament made it into the grand finals. The grand finals series was between Shopify Rebellion and Nouns, both teams were direct invite for the phase 3. The grand final was also the rematch of the upper bracket finals where Nouns took a clean 2-0 against Shopify Rebellion. Shopify Rebellion had to take down 5RATFORCESTAFF at the lower bracket finals to get their revenge against Nouns.

In the grand finals, Shopify Rebellion more than avenged their defeat against Nouns as they stomped Nouns in 3 quick games. In game 1, Abed “ Abed” Yusop dominated the entire game since the beginning of the laning stage with his signature midlane hero Queen Of Pain picking Nouns heroes off the map one by one. Eventually, Nouns tapped at 23 mins with a score of 3 - 34.

In game 2, Nouns showed a solid laning stage however they failed to control Abed’s mid Primal Beast. Nouns’s gameplan slowly crumble as Abed Primial Beast comes online in the mid-game charging into team fights and getting crucial pick-offs. Eventually, Shopify Rebellion was able to close off the game at 36 minutes with a score of 10-33 with a net worth advantage of 36K gold. In game 3, Shopify Rebellion once again dominated the game as soon as the laning stage ends.

The entire team pressured Nouns’s hard carry Templer Assassin giving her no space to farm on the map. Eventually, Nouns tapped out of game 3 at 24 minutes with the score of 2-23. It is also important to note that Abed didn’t die once in the entire series while making space for this team and getting crucial pick-offs.

This win would surely give Shopify Rebellion a certain amount of confidence and practice going into the Lima Major. Although Shopify Rebellion showcased a strong performance at this tournament, it is important to note that they are one of the underdogs going into the Lima Major as the Major consists of multiple teams from various regions.
