The latest event is underway in the form of Rocket League Neon Nights! This year’s event promises to be bigger and better than ever before with more challenges and more rewards on offer. In this event, which begins on January 25th and runs until February 7th, fans can earn exclusive rewards led by Florida rapper Cochise, which certainly sweetens the deal!

It’s pretty common to see special events in Rocket League and the rewards get better with each passing season. The collaboration with Cochise means there’s more than the best RL decals on offer too, music packs will play a big part!

Rocket League Neon Nights: More Challenges, More Rewards

Special Game Modes: Spike Rush and Speed Demon

It’s not uncommon to see more than one special game mode in an event and the Rocket League Neon Nights event doesn’t disappoint! All of this will be going on while the Winter Opens for the RLCS are ongoing as well so there’s a LOT of Rocket League to come.

  • January 25th - February 1st - Spike Rush
  • February 1st - February 7th - Speed Demon

Spike Rush

Don’t worry, it isn’t a Valorant-esque planting on spikes! However, this limited time mode certainly adds a little spice to the game. In Spike Rush, every car on the field will be covered in spikes.

It’s not a case of cutting up the other cars though. In fact, the player who accidentally skewers the ball will temporarily lose their ability to boost. That means a huge disadvantage to their team!

Speed Demon

As the name might suggest, speed is the name of the game in this LTM. Not only will players have an unlimited double strength boost but the ball speed is supercharged, there are demos on contact and there will be a very handy 1 second respawn timer. Rocket League Neon Nights fans can expect a ton of goals in this mode!

Rocket League Neon Nights Rewards

Now for the most exciting part of any Rocket League event: the rewards! The item shop will be packed with a brand new player anthem, antenna and a player title. But you don’t have to spend hard earned money to get them all. You can earn more rewards simply by playing:

  • Cochise decal: earn by getting 15 assists or centers in online matches.
  • Cochise player banner: earn 25,000XP in online matches.
  • Inspection decal: hit the ball 50 times in online matches.
  • Inspection topper: play 7 online matches.
  • Inspection avatar banner: get 15 saves, epic saves or clears in online matches.
