Since the end of the Sring Major, all eyes have been focused on the RLCS transfers list. It’s not uncommon for teams to mix up their rosters in between splits and Majors and this time, Moist Esports have fallen victim to the changes. One of their key players, rise, has announced that he will be playing for Oxygen Esports going into the next season.

RLCS Transfers List Announcements - No Real Surprise Here

While it has been rumored in conversations about the post Fall Major roster shuffle for a while that rise was going to be leaving Moist, there was a question as to whether he would continue to play in Europe. However, it was announced via OXG’s Twitter account on January 9th that rise will be joining archie and Joreuz for the next season.

It’ll certainly be interesting to see how the player’s different play styles work together. There’s no doubt that OXG will be working on brand new strategies to highligh each of the member’s strengths.

Not His First Rodeo - Previous Major Winner

Rise has been a staple of the professional Rocket League scene since he joined in 2019. However, in the last year, rise has seen unprecedented success after taking part in 3 Majors. Not only that but the results at these Majors speak for themselves:

  • RLCS 21-22 Winter Split Major - 2nd place
  • RLCS 21-22 Spring Split Major - 1st place
  • RLCS 22-23 Fall Split Major - 2nd place.

This impressive record has certainly caught OXG’s eye, meaning that rise’s name now appears on the RLCS transfers list. They will be hoping that these impressive Major performances can be translated into a World Championship win.

OXG Esports - Top European Team

It’s also worth mentioning that the Fall Split Major was actually OXG’s first S-tier event of 2022. This came after their entire roster, including the coach, made the RLCS transfers list in March 2022. Despite this, OXG are currently standing 3rd in Europe and 11th overall in the 22-23 global rankings so far.

Having a previous Major winner on their roster is a big feather in their cap. While they will still have rise’s previous team Moist Esports to contend with, things are looking up.

Fans may have to wait a little while to see how rise is going to slot into OXG while Winter Qualifiers are ongoing. However, this only means more time for the team to practice and build their strategies together before coming into a competitive environment.
