Rainbow Six Siege players have been treated to an unexpected Easter egg hunt orchestrated by Ubisoft, sending sleuths across multiple maps to uncover mysterious blueprints and piece together a hidden reward. What began as a cryptic tweet from the official Siege Twitter account on December 9 quickly spiraled into a full-scale in-game scavenger hunt that had the community buzzing.

Clues Hidden Across the Maps

It all started when Ubisoft posted a short clip showing a peculiar image tucked under a long desk on the second floor of Emerald Plains. The post read: “Redeem your special treat for 24 hours. The window opens December 10th at 10:10 a.m. EGT. Hop to it before it closes.

Following that teaser, the community quickly jumped into action and began uncovering a series of hidden blueprints spread across multiple Siege maps. The first clue could be found tucked inside a printer in the Logistics Office on the second floor of Clubhouse. The blueprint displayed an “X” marking another map location, leading players next to Villa.

The second clue was discovered perched on top of the wardrobe in the Trophy Room on Villa’s second floor. Like the one before, it bore a number and featured faint text at the bottom, guiding players to Kanal.

Inside Kanal’s basement Supply Room, players found the third clue resting atop a set of shelves, continuing the breadcrumb trail.

The fourth and final clue was hidden under the Main Stairs on the first floor of Border, partially concealed beneath a cardboard box.

Each of these clues pointed to the next in the chain, with the last one looping back to Emerald Plains. Every blueprint was clearly numbered and contained a fragment of text at the bottom. When assembled, the text spelled out “UNMO-SCIY-G1BM-NRCN.” At first glance, it looked like a random jumble of letters and numbers, but sharp-eyed players soon realized it was a redeemable code on Ubisoft’s official website.

A Hunt Leading to Disappointment

Once all four blueprints were discovered and decoded, the community raced to Ubisoft’s official redemption page to claim the long-awaited reward. But when the prize was finally revealed, that excitement quickly turned to frustration.

The ultimate reward for uncovering this elaborate Easter egg? A weapon charm called “Here He Comes.” Instead of being categorized as a Rare or Epic cosmetic item, the charm was disappointingly rated Uncommon – the lowest cosmetic tier in Rainbow Six Siege. Despite being framed as a “special treat,” the reward failed to impress even the most dedicated players.

Player reactions online have been overwhelmingly negative. Many expected something more, like yet another Alpha Pack or an anniversary-tier cosmetic, especially since the event launched during Siege’s ongoing tenth anniversary celebrations. With players already disgruntled about the quality and value of the anniversary rewards, this Easter egg reveal only added fuel to the fire.

Comments on social media reflect an already disgruntled community questioning Ubisoft’s priorities. While the detailed clues and hidden blueprints showcase the developers’ creativity, the underwhelming payoff highlights a growing disconnect between player expectations and in-game rewards.

Hop to It, But Why?

Despite the tagline “Hop to it before it closes,” many fans feel the Easter egg hunt’s conclusion underscores Ubisoft’s tone-deaf approach to community engagement. It is yet another symbol of Siege’s ongoing struggle to meaningfully reward its most dedicated players.
