The SIX INVITATIONAL 2023 gave us a flurry of interesting and seat-clutching match-ups. But it also gave us a sneak peek at what players can expect from the new season of Rainbow Six Siege. Entering into Year 8, Season 1: Operation Commanding Force, it brings with it a new Operator in Brava, an Attacker from Brazil. Here, we will go through her kit and how she may impact the game.

Her Gadget:

Brava is a drone operator, similar to Twitch and Florence. A thief, a meddler, a saboteur, Brava can dismantle and take control of defender gadgets. The Kludge Drone, as it has been named, can initiate a hack onto a defender gadget and move out of sight, taking control of the Defender utility. It has an effective range to hack and control this utility.

Defender gadgets react to the drone in different ways. A successful hack will destroy some deployables like the Bandit Batteries or Kona Stations. Others like Kapkan Traps and Aruni’s Surya Gate will switch allegiance, affecting the Defenders instead. Full access to the defender drones or camera is given to Brava. Meaning Echo and Maestro will have to hand over the controls to the other side, similar to a Mozzie pest.

Her Weaponry:

Ubisoft have given Brava the choice between the PARA-308 assault rifle or the CAMRS for her primary. For the secondary, she can pick between the USP 40 and the Super Shorty.

At 1 Health and 3 Speed, she has the ability to equip either the Claymore or Smoke Grenades as a secondary gadget.

The Gameplay:

With the introduction of her kit, players will now have to think about the placement of their gadgets. The Defenders will also have to keep on their toes as they will not know which gadget has been hacked until it's too late.

Some immediate counters to her kit as of now are Solis. She can find the drone using her gadget, and hunt it down. If one of Mozzie's Pests captures the drone, he will have full control of the drone and will be able to turn attacker traps against them.

With the new balancing changes to the muzzle attachments, Zero’s Argus camera, and the new reload rework, Brava will add an interesting twist to the current style of gameplay. It will be up to the players on how they can utilize this new kit to the maximum.

Availability:

Brava will be playable for players at the Launch of the new Operation Commanding Force, through the Premium Battle Pass. And unlockable with Renown or R6 Credits, 2 weeks later.
