Kwangdong Freecs won 2-1 against DRX and Liiv SANDBOX beat BRION 2-0 on March 15, the first day of Week 9 of the 2023 League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) Spring Split at LOL Park in Seoul, South Korea.

Kwangdong Freecs won Game 1 against DRX in 40:28 by an 18-5 score. KDF top laner Lee "DuDu" Dong-ju earned his first Player of the Game award of the night for his 6/0/5 K'Sante; jungler Ko "YoungJae" Yeong-jae added a 5/0/6 Wukong performance; and KDF's mid laner Lee "BuLLDoG" Tae-young and bot laner Kim "Taeyoon" Tae-yoon each notched 3/1/8 KDAs on Taliyah and Caitlyn respectively.
