It hasn’t exactly been a smooth ride for the team so far this season, and now OG Yuragi has confirmed that there will be a roster change before the next DPC tour. OG are no strangers to roster changes but this will fuel speculation about how it will affect the team going forward. With no official word from OG regarding roster changes, rumours are flying everywhere about which player will be leaving, and which will be joining.

OG Yuragi Confirms OG Will See DPC Tour 2 Roster Change

Roster Shuffles From Players to CEO

Things have been in flux for the top WEU Dota 2 org in recent months. After an incredible run at Majors in the last year, OG struggled at TI and finished in a disappointing 16th-18th place. It therefore made sense that changes needed to be made. That change came in the form of offlaners Ammar “ATF”, who left the team seemingly amicably to pursue an opportunity with Nigma Galaxy. He was replaced with legendary Virtus.Pro veteran DM, who has filled the role extremely well.

However, that’s not the only recent change that OG has seen. It was announced in late January that CEO JMR Luna was also leaving the org. While OG again has made no official statement regarding the reasons for this change, it seems to have made a difference. In the latest episode of the OG Monkey Business podcast, owners N0Tail and Ceb only briefly alluded to the changes of their ex-CEOs absence.

OG Yuragi Playing for Hellraisers at the Lima Major

Disappointingly for OG fans who have become accustomed to seeing their favorite team at every Major, OG did not qualify for the Lima Major. However, that left their position 1 player OG Yuragi free to fill in for Hellraisers. This replacement comes following the abrupt departure of Nikita “Daxak” Kuzmin in early February.

Tantalisingly, a reason for Daxak’s departure wasn’t given again. The announcement was made via their official Twitter account thanking him for his contributions to the team.

At the time of writing, OG Yuragi is really putting in the work and helping to carry Hellraisers to the lower bracket of the playoffs in Lima.

Who will join the OG lineup for the DPC Tour 2?

During his interview with Escorenews, OG Yuragi confirmed the change ahead of the next DPC Tour. It’s fairly uncommon for a change to be announced before any official channels confirm it. However, Yuragi seemed confident that a change would be made:

“Yes, we're going to have one change. [Are you planning to replace some player?] Yes. You'll find out,” he said.

While many fans have speculated that it’s Yuragi himself who will leave the team, this seems unlikely. He is a staple of the team and contributed significantly to their first DPC run, although the same could be said for every player on the team.

In a recent stream, ex OG players Miracle confirmed “I’m coming home, I’m coming home”. This has led many fans to believe that whoever it is that leaves the team, Miracle may be replacing them. It would make sense since Miracle is currently inactive on the Nigma Galaxy roster and supposedly looking for a team to play with going forward.
