League of Legends is returning to the highest level in China with the start of the LPL 2025 Split 1 Playoffs. Set to begin this Saturday, February 22nd, the LPL Playoffs will see the top 8 teams from the Group Stage compete for a chance to represent their region at First Stand, the new international tournament.

Let's go ahead and took a look at the odds and predictions for the first round of matches from the upcoming LPL Playoffs.

LPL Spit 1 Playoffs - Upper Bracket

ThunderTalk Gaming vs JD Gaming [Saturday, February 22nd - 7 am CET]

ThunderTalk Gaming looked great to top Group C during the Group Stage, even taking down Worlds runner-ups of BLG in the process. Despite the good showing from TT, we expect JDG's star-studded roster to prove their worth in the playoffs against a more inexperienced side in the end.

Odds for ThunderTalk Gaming vs JD Gaming:

  • Strafe fan Vote: ThunderTalk Gaming 23% - 77% JD Gaming
  • GGBet Odds: ThunderTalk Gaming 2.68 - 1.45 JD Gaming
  • Strafe Esports Prediction: JD Gaming

Ninjas in Pyjamas vs Anyone's Legend [Saturday, February 22nd - 12 pm CET]

Anyone's Legend has quickly turned into a fan-favorite in the LPL, and for good reason. During their undefeated run in Group A, the team showed no clear weaknesses in their game despite their lack of star power. On the other side of this matchup we have a Ninjas in Pyjamas team that makes up for their own lack of star power through sheer creativity and synergy after dragging Doinb out of retirement.

A tough matchup to call, for sure, but we believe Anyone's Legend has the potential to go far in these playoffs, and it all starts with a win against NiP.

Odds for Ninjas in Pyjamas vs Anyone's Legend:

  • Strafe fan Vote: Ninjas in Pyjamas 54% - 46% Anyone's Legend
  • GGBet Odds: Ninjas in Pyjamas 2.13 - 1.68 Anyone's Legend
  • Strafe Esports Prediction: Anyone's Legend

LPL Split 1 Playoffs - Lower Bracket

Bilibili Gaming vs Weibo Gaming [Sunday, February 23rd - 7 am CET]

Even if BLG may have lost to ThunderTalk Gaming during the Group Stage, they might still be the best team in the LPL. Weibo Gaming have looked better than anyone expected them to, but it may simply not be enough against a BLG team that will be hungry to get to First Stand after their disappointing end to Worlds 2024.

Odds for Bilibili Gaming vs Weibo Gaming:

  • Strafe fan Vote: Bilibili Gaming 97% - 3% Weibo Gaming
  • GGBet Odds: Bilibili Gaming 1.31 - 3.35 Weibo Gaming
  • Strafe Esports Prediction: Bilibili Gaming

Top Esports vs Invictus Gaming [Sunday, February 23rd - 12 pm CET]

The Invictus Gaming passion project lives on. After bringing back the core that won the team their first and only Worlds title in 2018, iG have looked as entertaining as ever. Despite all the big names, however, the truth is that neither Invictus Gaming nor Top Esports look poised to come away with the LPL trophy this time around, especially considering how dysfunctional TES have looked as of late.

This promises to be a very entertaining series to watch, with iG's X-factor giving the team a slight edge in the matchup.

Odds for Top Esports vs Invictus Gaming:

  • Strafe fan Vote: Top Esports 61% - 39% Invictus Gaming
  • GGBet Odds: Top Esports 1.55 - 2.38 Invictus Gaming
  • Strafe Esports Prediction: Invictus Gaming
