The Chinese Organisation JD Gaming (JDG) has announced the addition of Lee “Scout” Ye-chan to their LPL 2025 as their new Mid Laner.

The incoming Korean mid laner will replace the in-house talent of Zeng “Yagao” Qi, who made his professional debut under the JDG banner.

Yagao returned to JDG last year after spending a year under Bilibili Gaming. However, the former LPL playoffs MVP could not replicate the domestic results during his second tenure with the team.

JDG's best placement of 3rd during the LPL Spring Split of 2024 was overshadowed by an early playoff exit during the Summer Split and a loss to Weibo Gaming in the LPL Regional Finals 2024.

The disappointing results called for a change in the roster. These changes started with the introduction of Ale who replaced Sheer on the roster. Followed by the introduction of Peyz in the bot lane to pair alongside MISSING.

Now, JDG have bolstered the roster with the former 2021 World Champion and Finals MVP Mid Laner, Scout. The former LNG player was under heavy criticism for his antics outside the game, but when the opportunity presented itself, he put his skills on display, helping the squad secure a top 8 finish at Worlds 2024.

One of the the top 10 LPL players of the decade, Scout’s addition will rejuvenate JDG’s Worlds title dream. His ability to carry the game will help his new team to regain their domestic dominance.

JDG now only awaits their jungler to complete the LPL 2025 squad.
