Gen.G won 3-1 against Hanwha Life Esports on March 25, the second match day of Round 2 of the 2023 League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) Spring Playoffs at LOL Park in Seoul, South Korea.

Gen.G vs. Hanwha Life Esports

Game 1: GEN wins

Gen.G leapt out to a 1-0 advantage in their series against Hanwha Life Esports with a convincing 15-2 win in 29:07. GEN bot laner Kim "Peyz" Su-hwan went 7/1/5 on Zeri and led all players in kills; mid laner Jeong "Chovy" Ji-hoon wasn't too far behind on his 4/0/6 Ahri; support Yoo "Delight" Hwan-joong finished 2/0/12 on Lulu and kept his team buffed up; and jungler Han "Peanut" Wang-ho added a 1/0/9 Wukong score. GEN found nine towers, two drakes, two Rift Heralds and a Baron Nashor in the win, while their opponents were only able to take two drakes and four towers. Game 2: GEN wins

Gen.G won Game 2 against Hanwha Life Esports 17-4 in 38:34 to take a 2-0 lead in the series. GEN Peanut went 6/0/5 on Vi, leading in kills and earning Player of the Game honors; Chovy picked an unusual Lissandra and finished 5/1/8; and Peyz and Delight played the Lover's Duo and went 3/0/4 on Xayah and 1/0/7 on Rakan. GEN took nine towers, Dragon Soul, Elder Dragon and two Heralds, and HLE found just two towers and a drake in their losing effort. LCK Player of the Game: GEN Peanut, 100 points

Game 3: HLE wins

Hanwha Life Esports earned their first victory of their series against Gen.G with a 29:20 win in which they led 21-8 in kills. HLE bot laner Park "Viper" Do-hyeon notched a massive 13/2/2 KDA on Varus; jungler Kim "Clid" Tae-min nabbed a POTG award for his 1/0/15 Sejuani performance; top laner Hwang "Kingen" Seong-hoon finished 5/1/8 on K'Sante; and mid laner Kim "ZEKA" Geon-woo went 2/1/9 on Yone. HLE secured 10 towers, Dragon Soul, Baron Nashor, Herald and all three inhibitors; GEN only took four towers and one Herald. GEN Peyz was 3/2/5 on Ashe in the loss. Game 4: GEN wins

Gen.G won their Round 1 series against Hanwha Life Esports with a 17-6 win in Game 4 that lasted 27:38. GEN top laner Choi "Doran" Hyeon-joon went 2/1/5 on K'Sante; Chovy nothced a 4/0/4 score playing LeBlanc; and Peyz and Delight finished 4/1/4 on Aphelios and 0/2/10 on Thresh. GEN were able to claim nine towers, an inhibitor, one Herald and two drakes in the win, while their opponents only managed a drake, a Herald and a tower.
