The Esports and Gaming Festival in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia is back this year with a much bigger prize pool. The organizers of the festival Gamers8, along with Gamers Without Borders, are working together to make this feat possible. With $30,000,000 in charitable donations, they are making a difference while shining a light on the esports world.

They have not officially announced the list of competitive games for this year's festival. Although, it is without a doubt that Dota2 will be on that list, taking a big chunk of the prize pool.

Riyadh Masters

Last year Dota2 had a prize pool of $4 million during the Riyadh Masters. The tournament also allotted cash prizes for various accomplishments, for which OG took most of the awards.

  • Faith_bian - MVP ($100,000)
  • Yuragi - Highest hero dmg ($25,000)
  • Misha - Highest hero healing ($25,000)
  • Misha - Best Interview ($25,000)

Esports Dilemma

Gamers Without Borders will be starting the show on April 10, 2023. Nothing else is set in stone regarding the tournament apart from the prize pool and dates.

Gamers8 Esports has announced its date to be July 6th, 2023. As exciting as this may sound, it might pose a problem for Dota2 pros. Even though this is the biggest Esports event so far, it is not part of the Dota Pro Circuit. The upcoming Bali Major is going to be held during the Esports festival. Teams qualifying for both the Major and the Festival will have to make a tough decision. But we still hope to see some big names compete at the Festival.
