If you tuned into the Thunderpick World Championship 2025 Grand Finals day, you were in for an exciting ride. Starting with a MongolZ–Aurora marathon, the day concluded with FURIA and FalleN displaying the full might of Brazilian Counter-Strike to close out the event.

The MongolZ Secure Third Place

The MongolZ were the tournament favorites coming into the event. Unfortunately, they couldn’t keep up with NAVI, losing their chance for a rematch against FURIA.

Aurora Gaming didn’t have the best time either, falling to a red-hot FURIA in the semifinals after finishing second in Group B.

The two contestants were well-acquainted with each other’s game plans, and the results reflected that. Out of three maps, two went to overtime. After dropping the first map 16-14, The MongolZ bounced back on Mirage and narrowly closed out Nuke to claim third place.

FURIA Reverse Sweep NAVI

Coming into the Grand Finals, FURIA were red hot. They not only dominated their group, but did so without dropping a single map. The semifinal against Aurora Gaming followed the same script. However, the start against NAVI was anything but smooth.

NAVI dismantled FURIA’s defense on Mirage, winning the first half 10-2 and cruising to a 13-5 victory. That momentum carried into Inferno, where FURIA managed to keep the first half competitive but eventually fell 9-13.

At that point, it seemed FURIA were playing exactly as NAVI expected them to. The Brazilian side’s star duo, YEKINDAR and molodoy, were quiet across the first two maps. But FalleN wasn’t ready to go down without a fight.

Determined to lift another trophy before the Major season, he put FURIA on his back. His performance helped secure a strong 8-round CT half on Nuke, sparking a comeback that kept FURIA alive in the series.

Dust2 rolled around, and this time FalleN’s experience as an IGL shone through. His sharp T-side calls guided FURIA to an 8-4 half, and their CT-side was flawless, completing the comeback to force the decider.

With all of FURIA now firing on all cylinders, Train turned into a complete annihilation. On defense, the Brazilian squad allowed NAVI to plant the bomb only three times across 11 CT-round wins. They swiftly closed out the map, completing the reverse sweep and claiming the Thunderpick World Championship 2025 title.

With only a month to go for the Major, every game counts. Next stop, IEM Chengdu!

Another Early Exit, Same Old Story: Team Falcons Are Running Out Of Excuses

There is a cruel irony at the heart of Team Falcons' CS2 project. Hand someone from 2022 their current roster sheet — NiKo, m0NESY, TeSeS, Kyxsan, kyosuke, all under the tutelage of five-time Major-winning coach Zonic — and they would confidently declare this team the undisputed best in the world. And yet, here we are in March 2026, watching Falcons get knocked out of BLAST Open Spring in the quarterfinals by PARIVISION.
