According to reports, Mid Laner Tristan “PowerOfEvil” Schrage has reached a verbal agreement with Eintracht Spandau. The Berlin-based organization has been competing in the Prime League (1st division). Should this fully materialize, the well-known LEC/LCS mid laner will return to EMEA, competing under a German banner once more.

He has been away for over half a decade…

The German Mid Laner “PowerOfEvil” has spent a large portion of his professional career toiling in the LCS. Despite having been on more EMEA teams, he has spent a total of just over 4 years across the 7-8 teams he has played under. By contrast, he has spent nearly 6 years in North America.

He began his toil in EMEA under Team Mistral. He bounced around several teams from 2013 (when he began) to 2014, when he joined Unicorns of Love. From there, he pivoted to a number of notable organizations, including Ninjas in Pyjamas, SK Gaming, Origen, and Misfits Gaming.

In December 2017, he began his stint in NA. OpTic Gaming was the first port of call. From there, he has played under some of North America’s most well-known organizations, including CLG, FlyQuest, TSM, and Immortals.

Big Splash in Smaller Pond

Coming off his long tenure in the LCS and a 1-year break, his anticipated joining to the ERL has made the front pages of the league.

Eintracht Spandau (EINS) is noted as one of the most popular organizations in the Prime League. The Prime League is the DACH (Germany-Austria-Switzerland) European Regional League (ERL). A number of notable organizations compete here, including t'he academy team for SK Gaming, Unicorns of Love, and Schalke 04.

Unfortunately, since joining the Prime League, EINS’ results have been lackluster, just barely falling short of qualifying for EMEA Masters in 2023. Now, with the addition of a veteran in “PowerOfEvil”, EINS’ goal of making a deep run at EMEA Masters appears all the more doable.

Incredible legacy, Mediocre results.

The player known as “PowerOfEvil” has played with some exceptional names over the course of his career. He was part of the legendary Unicorns of Love roster, where he played alongside Zdravets “Hylissang” Galabov. He was also the second string Mid Laner for Enrique “xPeke” Martínez (legendary mid laner for Fnatic and former owner of Origen).

Individually, he is known for his control mages in the mid lane, utilizing champions like Orianna with a great deal of uniqueness and creativity in the build.

Overall, since joining the LCS, he has had far fewer international appearances. In the six years of competing there, he attended Worlds once, with FlyQuest in 2020. Immortals was by far his worst showing, and it showed when he announced he was taking a break from competing following the disastrous end to their 2022 season.

EINS’ Plans for 2024

According to the same sources, Eintracht has reached an agreement to re-sign jungler Nikolay “Zanzarah” Akatov and support Philipp Samuel “Lilipp” Englert. ADC Johannes “Fun K3y” Werner and Top Laner Maximillian “Vertigo” Rassi has also been earmarked to most likely join the roster.

With such a stacked roster, EINS look to make a deep run in EMEA Masters. Winning Prime League should be a pitstop with this kind of investment.

EINS 2024 Prime League Roster:

  • Maximillian “Vertigo” Rassi (Top)
  • Nikolay “Zanzarah” Akatov (Jungler)
  • Tristan “PowerOfEvil” Schrage (Mid)
  • Johannes “Fun K3y” Werner (ADC)
  • Philip Samuel “Lilipp” Englert (Support)
