Team Heretics are reportedly looking to pick up Martin “Wunder” Nordahl Hansen and Luka “Perkz” Perković for the LEC 2024 season. Should the deals go through, this would reunite the pair with Marcin “Jankos” Jankowski.

The trio have not played together since 2020, when “Perkz” departed from the roster to Cloud9. “Wunder” left the roster the following year for Fnatic. This roster would also reunite the three G2 alumni with a fellow alum in Victor “Flakked” Lirola Tortosa.

The trio - Perkz, Wunder, and Jankos - formed the core of the legendary 2019-2020 G2 roster that shook Europe and the world. Under G2’s banner, they won the 2019 MSI and made the finals of Worlds 2019. During their tenure on G2, they also won 3 splits and 4 Playoffs, dominating the LEC competitive calendar.

Off-Season Scramble

For many teams, the season and year has come to a close for League of Legends. Teams who either did not qualify for Worlds 2023 or have already lost, are now looking to revamp their roster for the 2024 season.

Such a predicament is where Team Vitality and Fnatic find themselves. Team Vitality failed to qualify for Worlds after finishing 10th in the Summer season. Meanwhile, Fnatic did make it to Worlds, however, fell out in the Swiss Stage.

Team Heretics is a Spanish organization currently competing in the LEC. Their team failed to make Worlds 2023, and is now looking to completely revitalize their roster in the off-season. The organization had just announced roster changes before the Summer Split. However, the opportunity to pounce on some ex-G2 free agents is too tantalizing to pass up on.

What this means for the current Team Heretics roster is unknown. Team Vitality Norman “Kaiser” Kaiser is also reportedly on the way out of his current roster, following his former teammate onto the Team Heretics roster. Even the status of “Flakked” has not been confirmed, which means he may just be on the way out as well.

However, the current roster’s contracts are still active and are not expected to expire until the end of 2024, according to the League Esports Global Contract Database. The 2024 LEC season is expected to begin in late January next year.

As of the time of this writing, Team Heretic’s roster will reportedly look as follows:

  • Martin WunderNordahl Hansen (Top)
  • Marcin “Jankos” Jankowski (Jungle, Unconfirmed)
  • Luka “Perkz” Perković (Mid)
  • Vincent "Vetheo" Berrié (Mid, Unconfirmed)
  • Victor FlakkedLirola Tortosa (ADC, Unconfirmed)
  • Norman “Kaiser” Kaiser (Support, Unconfirmed)
