Team Falcons have finally done it. After consecutive heartbreaks, the long-standing trio core of Mohammed “trk511” Alotaibi, Saleh “Rw9” Bakhashwin, and Yazid “Kiileerrz” Bakhashwin have finally found their first prestige trophy since signing with Falcons back in 2023, lifting the Raleigh Major trophy after an incredibly dominant run.

Domination in Raleigh

Team Falcons secured first place after only dropping three games throughout their entire journey in Raleigh. A swift 3-0 run in the Swiss Stage saw them in prime position entering into Playoffs against Dignitas, who themselves were showing strong form in Raleigh. A clean 4-0 sweep there secured semifinals for Falcons, where they took down NRG – albeit in a closer series than perhaps some were hoping.

An Electrifying Finals

Dignitas started out the finals strong with an opening win in Game 1. However, Falcons were swift on the recovery, slamming back goals in Game 2 to tie the series. A close Game 3, despite a strong defense from Dignitas, was not enough to sway the series back in their favor, and Falcons found themselves in pole position now to run away with the series.

A relatively quiet Game 4 still went the way of Falcons as Dignitas now appeared disoriented, making crucial mistakes during a pivotal point of the series. With Falcons up 3-1, Dignitas mounted a powerful offense back against Falcons – pulling it into overtime where Falcons, with great relief, managed to close it out.

A Big Win For Falcons and MENA

In Rocket League history, the Major championship has only ever gone to North America or Europe, making this historical win all the more special, as the team stamp their mark in the history books.

Despite earlier successes in the form of deep runs by MENA teams, notably Team Falcons and Twisted Minds, this victory in Raleigh solidifies the region's triumphs and fully legitimizes the threat of the region as a whole.
