Evil Geniuses reportedly buy out FBI from 100 Thieves
Australian "League of Legends" botlaner Ian Victor "FBI" Huang will move from one League Championship Series (LCS) team to another, as Evil Geniuses have reportedly bought out the player's contract from 100 Thieves, according to independent reporter Brieuc "LEC Wooloo" Seeger.
The 23-year-old started his professional career with a year-and-a-half on Golden Guardians. He and three fellow teammates -- Turkish jungler Can "Closer" Çelik, American midlaner Tanner "Damonte" Damonte and Korean support Choi "huhi" Jae-hyun -- then left GG and joined 100 Thieves, where FBI stayed for two years. In that time, 100T won the 2021 LCS Championship, were runners-up in both 2022 LCS finals and appeared at Worlds twice, where they lost in Groups both years.

FBI simultaneously takes the place of two players: American botlaner Kyle "Danny" Sakamaki and Turkish botlaner Muhammed Hasan "Kaori" Şentürk. The 2021 LCS Rookie of the Year Danny is currently on an indefinite break from "League of Legends" after spending a year-and-a-half with EG and garnering a reputation as one of the best young botlaners in the west, while Kaori substituted in for Danny during the end of the LCS Summer Split Playoffs and the entirety of the 2022 League of Legends World Championship.
How are EG and 100T's rosters affected?
According to independent reporter Travis Gafford, EG have also reportedly agreed to terms with FBI's former 100T teammate, Korean toplaner Kim "Ssumday" Chan-ho. Three players from EG's 2022 roster remain with the team -- Polish jungler Kacper "Inspired" Słoma, Canadian midlaner Joseph Joon "jojopyun" Pyun and Canadian support Phillippe "Vulcan" Laflamme. Earlier in the offseason, EG reportedly tried to acquire Canadian-Ukrainian toplaner Milan "Tenacity" Oleksij from 100 Thieves Academy, but 100T blocked the move and will instead field him as their starting toplaner, according to TGH reporter Sander "LCS Eevee" Hove.
Along with Tenacity, 100T will reportedly start 2023 with a roster featuring Closer, Danish midlaner Soren "Bjergsen" Bjerg, American botlaner Yiliang "Doublelift" Peng and Polish-American support Alan "Busio" Cwalina.
