Hanwha Life Esports won 3-1 against Dplus KIA on March 23, the second match day of Round 1 of the 2023 League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) Spring Playoffs at LOL Park in Seoul, South Korea.

T1 elected to face kt Rolster in Round 2 on March 24, leaving HLE to play against Gen.G on March 25.

Hanwha Life Esports vs. Dplus KIA

Game 1: HLE wins

Hanwha Life Esports took Game 1 against Dplus KIA with a 17-5 victory in 30:30. HLE bot laner Park "Viper" Do-hyeon finished 9/0/4 on Zeri and led all players in kills; mid laner Kim "ZEKA" Geon-woo went 4/2/6 on Tristana; top laner Hwang "Kingen" Seong-hoon found a 1/0/7 KDA on Gragas; and support Kim "Life" Jeong-min added a 3/2/13 Rakan score. On the losing side, DK were only able to take three drakes. LCK Player of the Game: HLE Viper, 100 points

Game 2: DK wins

Dplus KIA grabbed their only victory of the night against Hanwha Life Esports with a low-kill 29:46 win in which they led 6-2 in kills. DK top laner Kim "Canna" Chang-dong earned Player of the Game honors for his 2/0/4 Renekton performance; jungler Kim "Canyon" Geon-bu's Elise found a 1/0/2 score; mid laner Heo "ShowMaker" Su finished 1/0/2 on Jayce; and bot laner Kim "Deft" Hyuk-kyu and support Kim "Kellin" Hyeong-gyu went 2/1/2 on Lucian and 0/1/5 on Sona. HLE failed to secure any major objectives in the loss. LCK Player of the Game: DK Canna, 100 points

Game 3: HLE wins

Hanwha Life Esports beat Dplus KIA in 32:40 in Game 3 despite trailing 11-10 in kills. HLE made a comeback and won the game on a strong flank despite giving up three drakes, Baron Nashor and five towers. HLE Kingen finished 4/2/5 on Gnar; ZEKA added a 3/1/3 score on Yone; and Life's Nami logged a 0/1/9 KDA. DK's Canna and Showmaker were 3/1/5 on K'Sante and 3/2/4 on Taliyah in their losing effort. Game 4: HLE wins

Hanwha Life Esports won their series against Dplus KIA with a 17-6 win in 31:20 in Game 4. HLE ZEKA went 10/2/1 on a surprise Yasuo pick; Kingen found a 4/0/4 performance on Gragas; and Viper notched a 2/1/9 Zeri score. DK secured Dragon Soul and one Rift Herald in the loss. LCK Player of the Game: HLE ZEKA, 200 points
