A Make-or-Break for FaZe Clan

FaZe Clan will be under heavy scrutiny heading into CAC 2025.  A big reason behind it will be the decision to remove rain, a fan favorite and a key part of FaZe’s past successes. Rain has consistently delivered on big stages, often performing his best under pressure. Many fans are baffled by his removal, especially watching FaZe’s solid run at EPL S22 with both rain and Twistzz in the lineup.

From FaZe’s perspective, however, the move signals a shift toward the future. They’ve long been the team with the oldest players. They did win a Major but have failed to claim a trophy in nearly two years. This new roster represents the beginning of a shift towards a younger core.

While the competition at the event is lukewarm at best — the best opponents in their group are Heroic and B8, both of whom FaZe will face early. Across the tournament, 3DMAX, GamerLegion and Team Liquid are the main contenders, but FaZe are considered stronger than both.

Both Twistzz and jcobbb will be taking on new roles to fill the void left by rain and they lack the experience of playing with each other. From their perspectively, the relatively easier competition provides the perfect opportunity to build synergy and confidence.

Will FaZe Win?

FaZe Clan might be looking at CAC as a way to ease the new squad into the competition, that doesn’t mean FaZe can’t/won't win. If frozen and Twistzz replicate their EPL S22 form, they could very well take the title despite limited practice time.

Their biggest hurdle will be 3DMAX, who managed to beat FaZe at EPL and have shown they can exploit the team’s weaknesses. Team Liquid, GamerLegion, Heroic, and B8 also pose threats, especially since they’ve had more preparation time.

The key to win for FaZe will be their ability to play off of each other, especially understanding how the squad interacts with jcobbb and Twistzz. And if Karrigan and NEO can learn and understand how to use the new pieces well, CAC 2025 will be the first chapter in FaZe's comeback novella.

Irrespective, FaZe should qualify for the playoffs. Anything less, and the community will rally for rain’s return.

CS2 Major Revenue Share Changes Are Pushing Organizations Away from Counter-Strike

Valve’s new CS2 Major revenue share ties sticker income to VRS and final placement, removing capsule‑style payouts and concentrating money among top finishers. The result: higher volatility for clubs that relied on sticker cheques, early roster cuts like Gaimin Gladiators, and a narrower field of sustainable CS2 organizations unless the payout model changes.
